On Friday, ITV news released a clip from an upcoming documentary which showed Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, holding back tears as she acknowledged the challenges she's faced as a newlywed and mother in the spotlight.
"Thank you for asking. Not many people have asked if I'm OK, but it's a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes," she said, before confirming, in the words of her interviewer, that she "isn't really OK."
It's no surprise that Meghan is struggling. Our society's lack of concern for the well-being of new moms is terribly disturbing and it's even worse for her as a royal.

Wait, Meghan who?
Were all human first.
Leftists are not humans. They are evil incarnate, literal demons from hell.
Grant them no more accommodation.
With a full staff to wait on her hand and foot.
I really wonder how many times she's getting up when the baby cries in the middle of the night.
She seems to be able to travel abroad, wear lots of new clothes, pose for magazines, write/direct magazine articles, etc.
Perhaps Megan should reexamine just how "difficult" her role is....sorry, I mean her life.
LMAO.
Yeah, this mom has no problem selling abortion to other women as a choice.
Frikkin Grifter Skank.
No idea, perhaps a former yacht girl?
Princess is having a hard time...boo hoo
What was the purpose of this interview? To make her relatable? To gather sympathy , to manipulate others to like her out of guilt?
Just Stop it. Its not cute at all.
It’s hard to say. Seems like we may never actually know.
Oh, good grief.
“Meghan Markle’s interview was gut-wrenching to watch as a new mom...”
She’s gut wrenching to watch under any circumstances.
Yup! My thoughts eggs-act-lee.
This young woman is an American. Why aren’t we kinder to her? Why aren’t we giving her the benefit of the doubt? Why are we siding with the British against her? After all, her mother-in-law died under very suspicious circumstances much to the advantage of her ex-husband. So why aren’t we more protective and why are we so critical? She really has overcome a lot, and she has a pretty awful family who have hurt her a great deal.
Personally, I can relate to her postpartum depression. I wasn’t famous but I was comfortable enough, and had lots of help. Income really has nothing to do with it, anyway.
Well she is one of only perhaps 7 billion women in the history of mankind to have gone through child birth so her uniqueness validates her feelings.
“Our society’s lack of concern for the well-being of new moms is terribly disturbing and it’s even worse for her as a royal.”
Life’s a bitch your royal duchessness.
She’s acting, for heaven’s sake! She’s gonna’ get everyone’s sympathy, then dump Harry, go back to LaLa land with lots of money and a royal title. Poor, poor, Princess. She was whining about the gig before they were even married. JMHO
Like she invented post partum blues. Hire a nanny out of your 5 million / year royal stipend and quit whining.
And that also means it's not the responsibility of the rest of society.
The Duchess of Cambridge has three young children and endured years of ridicule, criticism and press harassment. You never saw her bawling and whining.
Harry and Me-Again are disgraceful, spoiled brat ingrates. HEY ME-AGAIN, HAVE YOU ASKED YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN POOR HEALTH IF HE IS OKAY??? She is a loathsome “rhymes with rich,” and so is her pathetic halfwit husband.
Weren’t people questioning whether she’d really given birth to the baby?
