Years ago when I rode the subway to work it was women like myself who gave their seats to pregnant women.

in France -- if you're pregnant, you are normally not left to wait in line, at coffee shops, at the grocery store, wherever. You're the first to be seated at restaurant, people are expected to help carry your bags, etc...

Must be nice! When I was pregnant and living in a city, men would push past me for the last seat on the subway. I was always left standing. And they had to know I was pregnant - I was trim with a basketball-shaped belly. But, I was in good shape, so I just laughed to myself thinking what losers they were.

The 2nd pregnancy, one day I was invited to a meeting run by a church. I walked in with a new basketball-belly and my firstborn in tow, and the men there rushed to hold the door for me, pull out a chair for me, etc. It was great! lol

Good on you! I think young boys and men especially must be taught the ways of chivalry.

Oh please...unbelievable..try having a baby in the military in a foreign country with your husband in another country flying people around. It isn’t hard! It’s natural...what do you think the wagon trains going west did? Stop and take 2 weeks off while some one searched for aspirin? Grow up! Be a whole person.

At the other end of the extreme are the “tiger moms.” They sacrifice everything for their kids. (“It’s not about me. It’s about my kids.”) But they want to make sure _you know_ ALL the things they do for them to help them get ahead.

I’ll just say, that she’s very good at plagerizing Diane’s book for her words, although she is about 4 years ahead of Diane’s schedule. Is she already laying the foundational grounds for divorce? Harry’s been blubbering like a baby at his last few public events.

Please, she’s a person who has lived a self centered life...

Not surprising it’s still all about her

Probably because she has no caring or compassion for what the average person is going through.

The Cambridges present themselves as adults and William and Kate are a team. The Sussexes appear to be less mature and Meghan is in charge.
Harry was deeply affected by the death of his mother and has made poor choices in life because of it. William suffered the same loss but has been able to live positively and has a successful marriage and family life.
I would not be surprised if the Sussexes divorce, they have little foundation for success, short acquaintance, hasty marriage and baby. Reports were that Meghan fought protocol and behaved like a spoiled child who Harry placated from the beginning. Meghan is constantly whining and Harry appears anxious to please her. His best days were when he was in the army and had some discipline and responsibilities. The Cambridges did it right, friendship first, long courtship, discussions of expectations on the roles they would fill, and they seem to be at ease with each other and their duties.

Yes being surrounded by servants and luxury are terribly stressful. Yelling for the nanny to go give the kid a bottle is a real burden. 😆

“Our society’s lack of concern for the well-being of new moms is terribly disturbing — and it’s even worse for her as a royal.”

This is just pure absurdity. Now “new moms” everywhere are going to become the downtrodden, and the oppressed. Meghans friend Serena did the same thing except she Inserted racism into motherhood, claiming black women are given less medical care during pregnancy and delivery. That she could have died because the doctors wouldn’t listen to her.

I actually don’t get the sense that the marriage is in the rocks at all. Only their plans to live in the U.K. — they might base themselves elsewhere and re-define their royal duties as a couple.

My only critique of Meghan (other than her woke politics) is that while she embodies the best of her California self, she also took on some Hollywood tendencies that need to be shaken off especially in a role like this. The RF is rooted in tradition, precedent, and years of protocol. (And sure some of the protocol is likely ridiculous, and British culture itself can be infuriating, but finding a Hollywood PR approach to navigating through it all is not the solution. But she’s smart. Maybe it is.)

And while a chunk of the media attention against her is uncalled for and outright hateful, the couple can’t be above political criticism when they wade their voices polarizing issues. And I think they lump even political criticism under the banner of ‘unfair’ tabloid-style coverage.

Meghan featured the likes of Jane Fonda, Greta Thunberg, and a Transgender actor among others in the British Vogue ‘Voices for Change’ issue she edited — and it’s as though she is clueless as to why this may invite criticism from large swaths of the public, who not only feel alienated, but extra sensitive politically given Brexit and the greater geopolitical context and tensions we’re all living in at the moment. Meghan needs to take these sensitivities into consideration, and not just that of her own side.

In America, people volunteer to drive you to Planned Parenthood to get an Abortion.

Funny how the Abortion Laws in Europe are much more restrictive than here.

The Liberals love Europe, but they draw the line on being able to Murder the Unborn without a care in the world.
