Prediction: JB2034 won’t make it to two months here.
Couldn’t get the Eagles game since I live in Baltimore but was following a bit on Bleeding Green Nation. Then I watched enough of the Jets-Cowboys game to feel pretty good about the NFL weekend. I can’t imagine the Cowboys will be in a real good mood next Sunday, though.
I’ll pick KC on Thursday, but given how Thursdays have gone Denver will probably make it a game or win.
The Falcons stink to high heaven.
I hope Matt Ryan is considering retirement.
If the Cowboys' bad mood > Eagles' desire to win, and that translates into an Eagles loss, the chatter around the coaching staff's adequacy will get louder. And the front office: I'll admit, I wasn't a Wentz fan and still am not fully onboard, but while earlier flat play was Wentz' s fault, he's improved but fer cryin out loud, can we get some corners or secondary that can cover?
As long as the refs show up, Green Bay has a better than 90% chance to win!
________
Yeah. Detroit got robbed.
But, in the past, Green Bay has been screwed over by the refs many times.
Chiefs rebound and slap the Broncos back to reality
BiLLLLs
Rams
Lions have lost some very close games, gotta go with them at home
Packers
9ers
Bengals have replaced the Browns as the worst in the AFC North. Jags
Texans
Kyler gonna show those giants that a little guy can play NFL too. Cards
Titans with their first home win
Seahags
Bears have a stingy defense. Saints are overrated. De Bers!
(sigh) cowboys
Patsies will do to the Jets what the Cowboys SHOULD have done.
I predict that the Cards get swept. Just a hunch ...
Rest of my picks to follow.
How about those Nationals?!
Pointing out the stats, Mahomes has the edge over Flacco in TD overall.
Mahomes: Week 6 - 3, Week 5 - 1, Week 4 - 0, Week 3 - 3, Week 2 - 4, Week 1 - 3.
Flacco: Week 6 - 0, Week 5 - 1, Week 4 - 3, Week 3 - 0, Week 2 - 1, Week 1 - 1.
So over 6 games, Mahomes has 14 TD and Flacco has 6. Mahomes has more than a two to one edge. I just don't see Denver having a sudden burst of scoring over KC coming up.
Flacco has thrown one interception each week except for week one. Mahomes threw one interception in week 6, and none before that.
All that being said, if Denver can establish the running game and keep KC off the field, they certainly do have a chance. It was what Detroit tried to do with GB, and it almost worked.
CHIEFS! For Thursday. And they better win this time.

Bye teams this week: Carolina, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay
My Pre-Playoff Rankings (predictions based on higher beats lower) based on regular-season stats:
1 AL Houston
2 NL LA Dodgers
3 AL NY Yankees
4 AL Minnesota
5 AL Oakland
6 NL Washington
7 AL Cleveland *
8 AL Tampa Bay
9 NL Atlanta
10 NL Chicago Cubs*
11 NL St. Louis
* Not in playoffs but statistically better than some that are (were).
So, since the Dodgers bombed, NYY vs. Houston is the World Series right now. Great match-up and really pretty exciting games so far.
Why did AJ Hinch put Verlander in Game 4 vs. Tampa Bay last Wednesday on short rest when he didn’t have to ? (I didn’t hear one commentator talk about it.) Because he knew if they won they would meet the rested NYY on Saturday and he wanted a rested Cole to start on Saturday.
Still, I favor Houston - and the rain delay helped Houston.
Houston wins the WS against a pretty tough Washington team.
