It may seem an uncouth way to spend the evening, but binge drinking could be an evolutionary tactic to woo women, say scientists.
Research suggests that heavy consumption of alcohol tells a potential mate that the binge drinker is 'healthy and strong'.
According to the authors of a study of American men published in the academic journal Evolutionary Psychology, heavy drinking among young adults delivers a 'sexual signal' that demonstrates their worth.

Well, if “scientists” say “might be” or “could be,” then clearly it’s 100% true and anyone who disagrees is a “science denier.”
This sounds like one of those ideas so stupid only an intellectual would believe it.
Without evidence, only experience, I sincerely doubt the study.

Many men who binge drink have been cut in half by a nutso woman and are attempting to self-medicate. Been there, done that quite a few times.

But I do know damaged women who were attracted to the “bad boy” and heavy drinking at bars and clubs was part of that ‘image” to them.

I never met a woman that enjoyed a guy who was binge drinking drunk. I have met a few young ladies after they were binge drinking. I had hair, a car, and a full time job. I seemed irresistible at the time.
These same stupid women then whine that they’ve been raped or beaten up. Duh.
This sounds like one of those rare examples of where Darwin's theory of natural selection actually works.

He has some kind of genetic defect that allows him to drink so much. I can’t remember if it also allows it not to effect his liver.
