if noxious speech causes harm, the NY Times should have recognized that in about 1967 or 1968.

They can go screw themselves.
AMAZING.
It’s such a BIG world with PLENTY of communist and dictator led countries.
Just move.
The first amendment was never intended for individuals. That’s next. Wait for it. Jackasses.

methinks they will get more than a little push-back..maybe they should review what happened to the Oklahoma Murrah building..there may be more “loose canons”out there that are tired of the NYT one sided propaganda. if they slime the wrong person they might find out.
The cobra bares it’s fangs... A head chopping is the cure...
Yeah, like the 2nd Amendment only applying to the military they believe the 1st Amendment only applies to the corporate media.
They're damn sure going bankrupt now that people can find the truth (actually, it's "easily" find the truth because you could always dig it out it was just difficult to do) instead of swallowing the lies of outfits like the NYT hook, line, and sinker. Just imagine how awful it must be for a wealthy Mesican to buy the NYT and then realize that it's basically fish wrap these days.
Naturally they have to blame one of our inalienable rights for the fact that people are ignoring them which is their definition of "free speech killing us".
How about red flag laws for journalists?
Unfriggenbievable. A so called news organization wanting to ban the First amendment
Point of view matters on this.
Free speech led to the abortion holocaust. Therefore leftists should not have free speech.
Free speech led to the spread of Islam. Therefore nobody should be allowed to preach Islam. Or any other religion, just in case. Or a philosophy for that matter. For example, Marxism. 100 million died because of that free speech.
Free speech got the Wright Brothers thinking about aviation. That got thousands of people killed in plane crashes.
Yes, eliminate free speech. We will all be safer. In fact eliminate free will. Just program us from birth to do the right thing. Or eliminate any chance of error, make the dolphin the highest life form on planet earth. And dolphins, don’t talk amongst yourselves.
How about Common Sense Licensing and Regulation for Presstitutes engaging in Commercial Speech for Compensation or Gain.
‘”Free Speech is Killing Us” Warns New York Times’
OK, help save us by shutting your doors and get rid of one of the biggest abusers of Free Speech.
OK, I'll do it for ya.
The Man, the Machine, the Elite, the Tellers - whatever term you choose - have ALWAYS tried to control and subvert independent thought.
My favorite example in all of human history was Pope Leo X’s efforts to silence Martin Luther.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Leo_X#Protestant_Reformation
In response to concerns about misconduct from some indulgence preachers, in 1517 Martin Luther wrote his Ninety-five Theses on the topic of indulgences. The resulting pamphlet spread Luther’s ideas throughout Germany and Europe. Leo failed to fully comprehend the importance of the movement, and in February 1518 he directed the vicar-general of the Augustinians to impose silence on his monks.[6]
A further papal bull of 15 June 1520, Exsurge Domine or Arise, O Lord, condemned forty-one propositions extracted from Luther’s teachings, and was taken to Germany by Eck in his capacity as apostolic nuncio. Leo followed by formally excommunicating Luther by the bull Decet Romanum Pontificem or It Pleases the Roman Pontiff, on 3 January 1521. In a brief the Pope also directed Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor to take energetic measures against heresy.[6]
To anyone with a hint of controlling the American populace, I have three things to say:
1. NO!
They hate talk radio, FR and every similar site the way the established colonial elites hated the pamphleteers. Hated Tom Paine and Common Sense. That led to violence too. Didnt it?
How about red flag laws for journalists?
Sounds like an excellent suggestion.
Children and liberals don’t like to hear things they don’t agree with.
What happened when the Brits try to take away our guns the first time at Lexington 0n 19 April, 1775?
Thomas Jefferson, I enclose you a list of the killed, wounded, and captives of the enemy from the commencement of hostilities at Lexington in April, 1775, until November, 1777, since which there has been no event of any consequence
I think that upon the whole it has been about one half the number lost by them, in some instances more, but in others less. This difference is ascribed to our superiority in taking aim when we fire; every soldier in our army having been intimate with his gun from his infancy. - Thomas Jefferson, letter to Giovanni Fabbroni, June 8, 1778
