Worked in a place years ago with a cute young receptionist.
She had some personal photos at her desk which included one of she and her boyfriend at the beach. She was wearing a blue bikini. Wearing it rather well as I recall.
Then we got a creepy new FedEx driver who suddenly started hanging out at her desk for longer and longer periods of time. Sometimes we weren’t even sure he had dropped a package. She was growing quite annoyed with him.
Then it dawned on her that he was hanging out there every day ogling her bikini pic. After some ick-factor wretching the picture disappeared from her desk.
It is ridiculous.
It was poor judgement on her part to post it, even on her personal account, but at the same time, the employer should not refuse to hire her, just because of that.
I think, if she was qualified and appeared to get along with the bosses, they should have hired her, then perhaps afterwards remind her that even her personal twitter posts can reflect on the company and please keep that in mind and then recommend gently that she remove potentially embarrassing content.
