The Anguilla resort worker allegedly killed in a struggle with a Connecticut banker had so much cocaine in his system, he was essentially walking dead, a revised autopsy report shows.

Hapgood, 44, was charged with manslaughter

The Hapgood family claim Mitchel showed up unannounced to their room with a knife and demanded money — forcing the UBS financial adviser to defend himself and his young daughters.

“twice that commonly accepted to have a fatal outcome,” and caused his lungs to fill with blood, suffocating him.

“Experience the local lockup for defending your family? Guaranteed if you are low on melanin!”

Yeah, not really in Chicago. The cops still know the score and don’t tend to arrest people for killing scumbags.

Might want to check with Jason Van Dyke about that?
When he gets out.

Not the coppers that make the call.

Ms. Foxx the State’s Attorney for Cook County, can help if you have friends in high places or you belong to a protected group.

The PC BS is so deep for Chicago coppers, surprised they have any qulified recruits.

“Might want to check with Jason Van Dyke about that?”

You might want to bring up a relevant example. You were talking about tourists defending themselves against criminals, so why bring up a cop who executed someone, then lied about it and tried to hide the evidence?

I’ve read that Tortola’s justice system is : you’re guilty until proven innocent. It deters crime big time.

.………..all of these officials, or nearly all, are black and 90 plus % of the permanent residents are black, more or less.

Tourism will TRUMP all other considerations, even the black residents on the island. It’s really simple as that. I lived down there a year and one half. News stories like this about a tourist being harmed in any way “locally” usually last about one day. Then the audio and video about the incident is like someone threw the off switch.

The island of Anguilla, where the incident occurred, has never been a U.S. Territory. I know it might seem burdensome, but you may want to read the article before posting.

The island of Anguilla

Only at the very end is ‘island’ mentioned.

And not as you clearly stated ‘The island of Anguilla’.

There is, in fact, Anguilla V. I. not too far away.
~160 miles.

I guess English is not your first language. There is no ambiguity:

“Still, it’s unclear how the new findings will affect Hapgood’s trial on the tiny Caribbean island.”

Why are you still arguing that the article references a town in the V.I.? It clearly doesn’t.

Did Officer Van Dyke overreact,YES.

And so did the Chicago Machine with a massive jam-down on the coppers and prosecutors.
Emanuel needed a scapegoat.

“then lied about it and tried to hide the evidence?”
Tried and no convictions.Oh but they were fired.

And that gave us Lori Lightfoot and Kim Foxx, a fine kettle of fish.

“Did Officer Van Dyke overreact,YES.”

Well, I guess technically you could call a homicide an “overreaction”.

“Tried and no convictions.Oh but they were fired.”

He was found guilty of second-degree murder.

Either way, it’s a non-relevant example to what you were claiming to talk about, which was whether a tourist defending themselves against a criminal in Chicago is going to be charged with a crime for exercising lawful self defense.

I assume since you can only cite that non-relevant example that you can’t actually find any relevant examples, which pretty much proves my point. If you want, I can provide plenty of examples of ordinary citizens shooting criminals in Chicago in self defense of themselves and their property and NOT being charged with crimes.

Yes, it is true, English was never a favorite subject of mine. And obvious to most readers.

Unsure of your point of contention, not a problem.

Whatever it might be, you win!
