KUSI) Half of the states registered voters admit to having given serious or some consideration recently to leaving California. according to a new poll.
Young voters were especially likely to cite unaffordable housing as a reason for leaving, according to the latest UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll.
The poll results said high cost of housing (71%) is the most common reason given by voters for wanting to leave California. However, high taxes (58%) and the states political culture (46%) are also prominently mentioned, particularly by Republicans and conservatives.
Another question in the poll asked Californians how they would describe the state as a place to live. The results of the latest poll said half the of states registered voters now describe California as one of the best places to live, up from 43% who felt this way the last time this question was posed in 2013.
However, here too, partisanship and political ideology play a prominent role, with Democrats and liberals nearly three times as likely as Republicans and conservatives to describe California as one of the best places to live.
Left in 1984.
Fact is So Cal is using the Colorado River at a greater than 100% rate. Half of LA is going to have to leave or pay through the nose to desalinate ocean water. Nature is gonna force the choice.
Left in 2000. The place has become a hell-hole. I can’t believe that they had homeless camps along the Santa Ana river last year.
But as usual, more Ds will leave and bring their diseased thinking to red states.
And that’s bad
This is so sad on many levels.
The most obvious is the potential uprooting of many good people in CA that feel the need to leave.
But on a national level is the Kalifornication and turning blue of other states. This may seem offensive to Californians reading this, as many of you consider yourselves conservative.
My sister has lived in CA since 1968. She votes R and considers herself conservative. In visits with her she believes in global warming, thinks Arnie was a good governor, knows the ocean waters are rising in CA beaches, and does not like the attitude Trump displays on Twitter. Without going into much detail, my Republican sister’s beliefs are worse than a red state’s democrat’s.
People like her will move to a red state and turn it blue, much the same way it is happening to Texas right now.
It’s now a Mexican colony, why would US citizens stay when the state government refuses to protect them from illegal alien Mexicans and protects illegal alien Mexicans from US laws?
My whole family, including me,have left or leaving Crazy California. Last family will be free next summer. That’s all he talks about.
we have a two year plan to leave
I am seriously planning my escape from the Peoples Republic of Illinois. I will have to change my user name though.
When you give parasites the same vote as a taxpayer...
Yep, the red states will be overwhelmed by Californicators from the west and 3rd worlders from the south.
It's a whole lot cheaper and easier just to change who you vote for.
“...with Democrats and liberals nearly three times as likely as Republicans and conservatives to describe California as one of the best places to live.”
80% of which are ILLEGALS, so who would leave a Moochers Paradise?
Lived south of San Diego from 1980-’82. It had it’s bright spots, but not enough to entice me to stay.
Time to build that wall. . . around California. Vonserviyes can apply for exit visas which will be granted.
Before the expense of moving to another state... maybe just once vote straight GOP. #WhatDoYouHaveToLose?
Meant to say, Conservatives can apply for exit visas which will be liberally granted.
New Poll Says that Half of Rats Plan to Leave Sinking Ship
Good people do leave but most of these “refugees” destroy other states. CO,NM and AZ are turning and I think Texas is in trouble.Over on the East Coast,NJ and NY idiots have “migrated” to lower states states like NC,VA,MD,FLA etc and are totally ruining them. Don’t depend on the worthless GOP to save ANY “red” state.
Exactly my biggest fear, too. That infestation is what killed OR, WA, NM and CO, and AZ isn't far behind.
