According to a report in the Financial Times, a team of researchers from Google led by John Martinis have demonstrated quantum supremacy for the first time. This is the point at which a quantum computer is shown to be capable of performing a task thats beyond the reach of even the most powerful conventional supercomputer. The claim appeared in a paper that was posted on a NASA website, but the publication was then taken down. Google did not respond to a request for comment from MIT Technology Review.

It is easy to dislike the Left and their Global Warming hoax, and their hysteria over food production and population control. The Left clearly seems to seek a world with a substantially lower population. They would (I think) be comfortable eliminating more than half the population so that they could live comfortably with lots of stuff. The Agenda 21 concept seems to center around this sort of thinking.
Now, I find that despicable and short-sighted. The Left seems confident that people like me could be eliminated and people like them could survive and live lives of splendor.
But if we take a step back from Globalism, population control of useless eaters, abortion, euthanasia and other assorted Leftist monstrosities, I think the point you raise is actually quite cogent.
We are heading for a post-scarcity world in which automation shoulders much of the weight formerly carried by human labor. What then?
We really don't need big populations. And big populations with nothing required of them are likely to be disruptive (the devil makes work for idle hands).
I would oppose tyrannical population control, of course. But society might want to start thinking of gentle, non-coercive ways to get our population down below 100 million or so. I don't imagine it would be easy but I see no reason not to.
One thing you left out:
Without a large population, you will not get a great number of geniuses on the left side of the Bell Curve.
Well... unless you genetically engineer them.
Right now AI is the monkey inside the cage.
The point that AI is self teaching, learning, probably combined with quantum computing, is the danger.
- At some point it will surpass us in intelligence, with increasing rate of learning, perhaps exponential, with instant recall and computing,
And we will be the monkeys, outside the cage, until it outsmarts us...
Both are confirming this future paradox of smarter machines.
Nero looked like this -- quite different from Octavius
It’s surreal to be honest.
it’s historically inaccurate - the image of the anti-christ put in the holy of holies was the image of Nero, not of Augustus.
Nero after all was the 666, the Anti-Christ. And as Revelation spoke about the destruction of Jerusalem in 69 AD and described it nicely with the burning of stones and the end of the Jewish world.
No, you are wrong.
We’ve been over this anthill before and you can beat your chest all you want with your crazy Pre-terist beliefs.
The fact that Israel is a nation again, easily proves your theory wrong. Not only that but Jesus Himself quoted Daniel’s prophecy in Matthew 24:15 as a FUTURE event (Daniel 11).
Besides all that Nero had nothing to do with the temple destruction in 70AD.
You are wrong on so many levels, that it’s wasting my time even responding to you anymore.
It’s biblical beliefs - not the fake 19th century Rap belief.
Daniel talks about Israel forming as a nation thanks to Cyrus the Great freeing them from Babylon.
Daniel talks about the 4 empires that would rule Israel from Daniels time
Gold/head: Babylon
silver/body: the Achaemenid Empire
Bronze/trunk: the Macedonian Seleucid Empire
Iron and ironmixed with sand / legs: The Roman Empire.
The stone that was uncut by human hands and then destroys the Roman Empire and then becomes a mountain that covers the entire earth? CHRIST and Christianity.
We’ve been over this before and you can beat your chest all your want with the fake 19th century Rapture beliefs, but it is easily proven as false
re: “Will Oliver, an MIT professor and quantum specialist, likened the computing milestone to the first flight of the Wright brothers at Kitty Hawk in aviation. He said it would give added impetus to research in the field, which should help quantum machines achieve their promise more quickly.”
Something similar, I think, was said of the Tunnel diode too. And look where it went ...
re: “Quantum computer project #1: Have it tell us how to build a better one.”
Ask it just the one simple question: “Why?”
Oh and Nero was instrumental in the Jewish Roman war which lasted from 67 AD (started under Nero).
This is spoken of in the book of the Apocalypse of John of Patmos where he describes that Israel was under the 6th “king” - NERO - and the 7th king was to come (Galba) but his time was short.
There is a false Rapture doctrine (Scofield) that says when Jesus appears in the clouds, He will then take the Church away. The Bible is very clear. When He appears in the clouds He will then descend to Earth (with the saints who had just been caught up to meet Him.)
There won’t be a special secret visit where Christ takes only some believers and then returns for what would not be a Second Coming but a third time for the Final Judgment at which time He will sort out the remainder including more people who will go to Heaven.
One should not believe in the 19th century hallucinations of Rap.
Besides, the Bible verse about left behind actually means left out, and remember, it is the bad people who are taken, not the good people. The only rapture will be at the end of the world when everybody is leaving, and those still alive will have to live through the destruction of the world - which actually has its upside: those who have the misfortune to be alive when the world goes up in flames will not have to endure purgatory, they will get all of that out of the way right here
The Rap is neither Biblical nor doctrinal. No one knows when the Second Coming of Christ will be, but the Father which is in Heaven (Acts 1:7).
As for a rapture, it is nowhere to be found in the Bible, and it is solely based on this verse :
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
-1 Thessalonians 4:17
To be literally taken away is contrary to what Jesus taught about the resurrection, which will happen to all[1]. Even Paul didnt make such assumption when he talked about someone being caught up to the third heaven (2 Corinthians 12:2).
There are many passages in the Scriptures that are symbolic, not literal. For example, Peter taught about new heavens and a new earth (2 Peter 3:13); does this mean that God has created a new planet for the righteous, somewhere in the Universe, or that Peter is rather talking about the restoration of the Kingdom of Heaven (as explained above, in the first paragraph)?
Interpreting literally the Scriptures is missing the spiritual context from which they were given. When searching truths in the Scriptures, we must first search to be taught by the Holy Ghost (Matthew 16:15-17, John 14:26). A few weeks ago, some Christian debated that it was impossible to understand the Holy Ghost without reading the Scriptures, but such claim forget that these very teachingsabout the Holy Ghostwere only put in writing decades after Christs ascension and, yet, many still feltand recognizedthe Holy Ghost. Because the Holy Ghost comes from righteousness (Matthew 6:33), and the Scriptures are a tool unto that righteousness.
The Rapture is a doctrinal innovation introduced by Margaret MacDonald in 1830 based on a dismally upside-down interpretation of scripture.
People who believe in The Rapture point to Matthew 24, but if they would look at verse 37, they would see that this event is being compared to what happened in the days of Noah.
And who was removed from the world in the days of Noah? The wicked or the righteous?

Sorry dude, believe what you want.
I know I do. My Blessed Hope is in CHRIST ALONE.
Every knee will bow.
You’ll be held accountable for believing and propagating heresies.
2 Titus 2:13
John 14:1-4
Lies...
More lies...
Nah, it’s the words of Christ in the Bible.
The entire Rap fake non-Christian belief is a lie. It would be good if you read the Bible to see that
