So very good of her daughter to treat her as a friend. My Mom had Alzheimers. We were BFF in her last years (talked like we were 16 year olds) and she told me many secrets I probably should not have known. Once I had to promise that I would not tell her boyfriend (my Dad) that she went on a date with another guy. Since Dad was deceased, it was an easy promise to keep.

I always tried to be whatever she thought I was. And we laughed a lot in her final years. She did not know who I was, but she was not in pain. I was delighted. We made new memories and never even needed an aspirin.

I applaud this Lady, she is making new memories with her Mom. She will always cherish when her Mom put the two together. And she will laugh, maybe with a tear in her eye, but she will laugh. Beautiful!!

The Obama administration had no problems with OOCL signing a 40-year lease with the City of Long Beach in 2012 for control of America’s second largest and most automated container handling operation. The sweetheart deal was part of the “Middle Harbor Redevelopment Program” to fund a $1.5-billion expansion through 2020.

But one of the first major actions of the Trump administration’s Department of Homeland Security in March 2017 was issuing a “Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S.” national security hold on Cosco’s acquisition of a former U.S. Navy port facility.

Once when daddy had a kidney infection he was completely out of it. When I came into the room to check on him, he looked at me and asked “do I know you? Are we related ?”

Sat down on the edge of bed with a cool washcloth for his forehead and said “ I’m M, your middle daughter. I was born nine months to the day after you got back from the South Pacific “.

He broke into a huge blushing smile and said “I remember that!” The medicine PTL kicked in soon after that. He was sharp till the end of his 94 years. Mom had a form of dementia which is now treatable.
