EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (CBS) A New York Giants fan was so angry about the New England Patriots signing Antonio Brown he allegedly issued a threat on Facebook to shoot up random people at Gillette Stadium.
Tobias Gray was arrested at his home in East Providence, Rhode Island Sunday. He was handcuffed and wore a Giants jersey and jacket during a court appearance in Providence Monday on unrelated assault charges. The 44-year-old was charged with simple and domestic assault and threatening police officers at the time of his arrest.
Gray is accused of making a threatening post on Facebook over the weekend after the defending Super Bowl champions signed Brown, one of the best and most controversial receivers in the NFL, Saturday.
In the post, Gray allegedly wrote Im going to pull a white boys school shooting at Foxboro you might as well hand them the ring right now Im if I ever get my hands on a gun which I dont have one yet but Im looking I will go shoot up random people at Foxboro.

The Facebook post was deleted over the weekend. Grays attorney said his client was simply upset the Patriots were able to land Brown and did not mean any harm.
He just really didnt get into why, hes a Giants fan apparently, his attorney Stefanie DiMaio Larivee said outside court. He was not happy about it as I can see online many, many fans of many other football teams were not happy about it.
A judge in Providence called Grays record extensive. In the report from the Foxboro Police Department, it was discovered there were pictures of Gray holding guns on Facebook.
Gray is being held until the charges in Foxboro are resolved. Hes charged with a fugitive of justice complaint for making terroristic threats in Massachusetts.
A neighbor told WBZ they often hear Gray arguing with his girlfriend. Always fighting out here, always going crazy, said Lucy Camara. But I never thought he would do that.
Foxboro Police issued a vague statement on Grays case Monday morning before Gray appeared in court.
Chief (William) Baker has indicated that the Foxborough Police are withholding comment at this time on any specific action our agency may have taken, or may take in the future, in response to the ongoing challenge of malevolent or criminal social media posts, police said. In general Chief Baker says the department will respond vigorously and in close collaboration with our local, state and federal partners to take appropriate action as the law allows.
Gray is expected to be arraigned in Wrentham District Court sometime this week.
There has been no comment yet from the Patriots.

If he was a Jets fan he could plead insanity.
Ok, maybe I could see a Steelers or Raiders fan being upset about it, but a Giants fan?
He should be more worried about how terrible the G-Men are on defense.
The Cowboys took apart their defense on Sunday.............
YEP!...................or a Bills..............
I think it’s great. He’ll probably get tossed out of football if he pulls the same crap in New England.
Or a Dolphins fan, wait, there are no Dolphins fans.
What defense? LOL. It’s gonna be a LONG year for me.
Gillette Stadium? No wonder I dont like NE.
The police should arrest his English teacher, too.
It will be hilarious if the Raiders go to the Super Bowl and the Pats don’t!......................
You have to wonder if the Pats and Brown had worked out a deal ahead of time that if he could get the Raiders to cut him then the Pats would pick him up. That would explain he behavior in Oakland, and while I have no problems with the Raiders being played as suckers it does set a bad precedent.
It’s crazy this ‘naming’ stadiums for money......some even sound weird.................

He’s really going to be mad when Trump wins in 2020.
The University of Phoenix Stadium is the weirdest one. I mean I didn’t even know they had a football team.
Calling the Raiders GM a ‘Cracker’ didn’t help....................
Is it better for society that a person like this be a sports fan rather than a political partisan? (Some may say, “Why can’t he be both?”)
Regarding the title, what a mishmash of nouns and verbs.
It’s becoming a player-run league, like the NBA.
