I was thinking of ‘Ego’ in more-or-less the Jungian sense.
(I think that Rand was dangerously full of sheer Ego. There has to be a balance, and I don’t think that Rand ever achieved it. It’s sad, because she was so mentally brilliant. But she was stunted in a lot of other ways.)

I must confess I thought you were referring to the commencement speech. 8>)
I should see who you are responding to rather than what your response is before responding back, LOL. That's why I didn't see the connection or similarities. My very bad. Now I fully understand that you were comparing the Pericles Funeral Oration to the Gettysburg address. Thus I can see the similarities, finally. 8>)

LOL!
I think Freud was a pretty neurotic guy who had an obsession with a very simplistic notion of the ‘sex’ drive.
Libido is a lot bigger and more all-encompassing than just ‘sex’ - as sex is generally understood.

Great speech! Son-in-law is enrolled there now and I will definitely share this video with him.

Thanks for the recipe. It took me a year to finally learn how to consistently make good sunny side up eggs. I’m working on omelets now. I’m probably a decade away from trying a cheese soufflé

Making it like Pepin’s mother’s recipe results in a ‘sturdy’ souffle, and is almost foolproof. I almost never do the separate/whip/fold anymore.

The recipe looked easy. Maybe I’ll try it if and when I have someone to share it with.
