President Trump, Make Gas Cans Great Again!!!

WHY DOES A FIVE GALLON GAS CAN COST $20?

WHY DOES IT TAKE THREE ARMS TO USE AND YET I STILL SPILL GAS ALL OVER THE PLACE?

WHAT THE F*** IS THIS RIDICULOUS ENGINEERING OBAMANATION OF A CONTRAPTION AND WHY CAN'T I HAVE A NORMAL GAS CAN WITH A NORMAL SPOUT?!?!?!?!

Prepping for a bad storm, I picked up another four five gallon gas cans to top off for my generator and low and behold, WTF are these nightmares? I spilled gas all over myself, all over the generator and all because some environmentalist dickhead managed to convince someone that gas fumes were killing the planet so, low and behold, here's what we're stuck with.

I blame Obama.

President Trump, I implore you! Do you want to win strong in 2020! Give us normal gas cans again!!!

EZ Pour spouts are incredible, especially the larger diesel ones. Don’t just buy off Amazon though. Go to the EZ Pour website and view all of their products. I met the owner of EZ Pour at the GIE Expo in Louisville,Ky last October and he is a brilliant guy with lots of products and more to come.

Or, the classic “SAFETY CAN” With a spring loaded sealing cap, that has a wire mesh to keep big crap out of it, and a yellow add one easy pour spout.

Safety— means when the cap is closed— zero fumes get out.

Marine safety cans. 49 bucks at Lowes.. and worth every penny.

Does anyone know where you can buy a real toilet legally?

The instruction said twist and push.
No matter how mush I TWISTED and PUSHED and TWISTED and PUSHED and SWORE and SWORE it delivered zero gas.
I could see how it was supposed to work but it didn't.
So I had to remove it and of course I spilled gas all over the place.
Reminds me of the Ralph Nader induced Car Key Release Hell in the 80's, when it took me half an hour to figure out how to get the @#$% car key out of my rental in the middle of the night.

Invent a problem where there was never one before, demand it be solved, mandate a solution that actually makes things worse. Pat yourselves on the back.

Yes, they pat themselves on the back and say, "But we HAD to do SOMETHING!"

I wonder how many fires have been caused, how much gas has been spilled, and how many people have been burned as a result of that idiotic design.

Here's one way to deal with cans you don't like.

Yep. I had to buy 2 new 5gallon cans today. And was like WTF...they are even worse now than they were 10 years ago. It’s like they keep trying to make it more useless than before.

Siphon with a clear 5/8 inch clear polyvinyl hose. Faster than pouring and some gas station pumps.

The first thing I did when I bought a new gas can a few years ago was to rip the spring guts out of the nozzle and cork it with a rubber test tube stopper.

I was tossing stuff at the dump this week and there was an old classic jerry-can sitting at my feet in pretty good shape. Just needs a spout. I’m going to sand and paint it and wag my tail like a dog that found a bone.

Never put 5 gallons in a Home Depot bucket....

Put it in a Lowe's bucket instead...😀

I agree! I’ve spiled more gas all over my generator and everything else using these new fangeled spouts. I finally got so mad I took a hacksaw to the plastic spout, cut off the end, separated the red cover and spring and threw them away.

Now I have a hard nylon plastic spout that works! But no stopper. So I took a used 12 gauge shotgun shell, and put a hose clamp on it. It now fits over the spout perfectly.

I had the same problem when I got new cans prepping for Sandy. I take the tops off altogether and pour into a long neck funnel which keeps the spillage to a minimum.

I have quite a few old Jerry cans and cannot find spouts for them in any of the local stores. I finally found some on line and am now happy as my state still allows them to be mailed here.
