Comparison: Tesla Model 3 vs. 20 Chinese EVs That Sort Of Look Like Ford Raptors But Have 'Jeep' On Them
the Tesla Model 3, a sleek four-door electric sedan with about 258 horsepower and a range of around 220 miles.
The Fur-RAPTOR has a 1200W motor, which I think comes to aroundcan this be right?under two horsepower or so? Im not certain, but its not that much.
And this thing is cheap: $1,650 gets you one, which is why were able to get 20 and still be well within our $35,000 budget.
Wht the hell do you need to go faster than 25 MPH? You in a race?
Holy crap, look at that, a draw!

A perfect city car.
Commuter traffic in Chicago never exceeds 25 MPH.
That Fur-Raptor needs a Hyabusa motor and transmission with suspension upgrades to be a really interesting urban assault vehicle.
Verdict....
DRAW!!!
They couldn’t make them fast enough if these were sold in the US, even at twice the price and made in America.
I like the little truck verson.
U funni.
That Fur-Raptor needs a Hyabusa motor and transmission...
I’m not sure if the frame(?) could handle the torque???
Probably monocoque construction might be fun to watch it twist somewhat off the line. Even with a torque tube, like twisting a mop.
Verdict....
DRAW!!!
“Quantity has a quality all its own”
Said Old Uncle Joe.
but can it/you withstand an impact with a 3000lb car at 25mph???
Better than a motorcycle/scooter or Fiat 500.
You didn’t put SPOILER ALERT! at the top of your post. No doggie biscuits for you.
this is true
1200W, like a hair dryer or a microwave oven.
Long ago Andy Rooney presented a similar chart comparing 100(?) Chrysler K-Cars (?) to the current US battle tank.
He made a good case to help Iacocca.
Stuck in the mud? Grab a fresh one.
That Chinese thing is the liberal wet dream car. Required for everyone.
Found text, LeBarons 300 per M-1 tank!!!
Uh, yeah.
Outbound Stevenson Expressway, 6:20 pm, no major accidents or construction, anything west of I-355 (and some days, Cass Ave.), no commuter will likely hit you from behind in excess of 25 mph over your own speed as long as you are going at least 70...
Ok, that’s past the Chicago city limit.
North Lakeshore drive, outside of rush hour.
Granted that Austin, TX is even crazier, but that’s as much the layout as the drivers, anymore.
I had to Google that, was not disappointed.
I have a little 3 wheel electric ‘pickup truck’ for light hauling around “the gulch”. The motor is rated at 1200 watts, but the controller can easily modded or replaced for fifty bucks on eBay, and the motor will easily put out double that amount with no problem. And comparing electric motor to a gas motor, even though a horsepower is 746 watts , the performance feels like about double what a gas engine will do, due to torque curves.
I can haul 800 pounds in mine (as long as I don’t have to go up a much of an incline), and top speed is around 32 mph. On flat paved roads my range would be around 30 miles, not that I have ever tried it.
I am surprised that the things in the article sell for 1600 bucks... I’d think the body would cost nearly that much... My little truck cost nearly that much, and all it has is a metal box and a padded plywood seat.
Might be kind of fun to get one of these little cars and ‘hot rod’ it.
