A mouse appears to dive headfirst into a deep fryer at a Whataburger restaurant in Bastrop, Texas, in a scene caught on video by a customer and posted online.
Brushawn Lewis published the footage to Facebook early on Sunday. It shows restaurant staff trying to catch the mouse as it scampers across the counter, before it launches itself right into the fryer ― to the immense shock of staff and onlookers.
Who else needs a refund? one person can be heard asking.

I used to work at McDonald’s.
I would now not eat there unless it was the middle of the day and the manager was present. Too many shenanigans off hours.
He didn’t want his tail stuck into a computer just so he can get “clicked”.
.I’ve been in this burger joint between 1992 and 2011 many times and remember it well. My impression always was that the owner of the franchise could not find or hire a good manager because it was poorly staffed to say the least.
That said, under normal circumstances, Whataburger is an old, good and reliable place to go get a GOOD burger. I ate at one in Marble Falls a week or two ago. The burger and fries were very good!
Used the ladies restroom at a KFC once and it looked like someone dismantled a car engine in it.
I like Whataburger. Unfortunately, the closest one is more than 100 miles away. The green chile double cheeseburger is my favorite, hold the vermin. (Although even a deep-fried mouse might be palatable with enough of their spicy ketchup.)
the mouse was despondent and committed suicide.
Thats not a very big fryer. Is that what they call a Minnie Fryer?
"How much for the little mouse?"
(I once was in a French restaurant near dijon the served one of the diners a delicacy plate of deep-fried whole crunchy tiny frogs. Is this a kind of rodent cheffery?)

Walt would not have laughed but I did! Touche’
Speedy Gonzalez was a little too speedy and it cost him. Sad.
The mouse was in the restaurant for the air conditioning and water. Bastrop has had 37 days of 100-106 degrees since mid July. The next four days will add to that total. That fryer didnt feel all that hot.
Poor mouse. That must have been agonizing for at least a minute.
I guess the mouse did something to the Clintons and had to go.

The mouse’s last words, “Geronimooooooooooo.....”
They are prescribing Xanax for mice now?
In Louisiana, that’s a delicacy.
And next up on the program, the new game that is
sweeping the nation...Bobbing for French Fries!
