"...he's been put into psychological counseling..."??
To: Responsibility2nd
And what did his dad say? Or do I already know the answer to that?

Hard to believe an 8 yo would drive that fast. Harder to believe a Golf could go that fast.

I’d try to get him into a transmission kart.
To: Responsibility2nd
hard to believe it was reported in mph, and not kmh

That’s a European Golf. If it was a US Golf that would be amazing.

Well, a ‘stern talking to’ didn’t seem to do the trick. Maybe better to counsel now than after he kills someone - hed need a lifetime of it, then.

saying "red lights and driving regulations did not seem to interest" him. Any possibility the kid was actually from Taiwan or Thailand?

See post 16.
A Golf R is bad to the bone. Here in the US even.

I was in Germany in late June. My rental was a Ford Fiesta.
I got it up to 135mph at one point. See video below. Of course, it was a Ford Fiesta ST, around 200hp Turbo and stiff suspension. Was an absolute blast to drive.
Also, the passenger was holding the phone.

I figured the kid’s name would be Spritle. Did he have a monkey sidekick named Chim-Chim?
