Have you heard about China’s social credit system? It’s a technology-enabled, surveillance-based nationwide program designed to nudge citizens toward better behavior. The ultimate goal is to “allow the trustworthy to roam everywhere under heaven while making it hard for the discredited to take a single step,” according to the Chinese government.
In place since 2014, the social credit system is a work in progress that could evolve by next year into a single, nationwide point system for all Chinese citizens, akin to a financial credit score. It aims to punish for transgressions that can include membership in or support for the Falun Gong or Tibetan Buddhism, failure to pay debts, excessive video gaming, criticizing the government, late payments, failing to sweep the sidewalk in front of your store or house, smoking or playing loud music on trains, jaywalking, and other actions deemed illegal or unacceptable by the Chinese government.
It can also award points for charitable donations or even taking one’s own parents to the doctor.
Punishments can be harsh, including bans on leaving the country, using public transportation, checking into hotels, hiring for high-visibility jobs, or acceptance of children to private schools. It can also result in slower internet connections and social stigmatization in the form of registration on a public blacklist.
China’s social credit system has been characterized in one pithy tweet as “authoritarianism, gamified.”

On Drudge right now, there's a story about a man beaten for wearing a MAGA hat. Man Assaulted by Angry, Drunk Mob For Wearing MAGA Hat into Portland Bar
With the social credit system that the tech companies are installing, the US brown shirts will be able to identify and abuse Trump supporters not wearing MAGA hats.
How do we know that Google didn’t build it in China first, to get the bugs out? We get version 2.0 — even better!!
We are there already
The fascist leftist totalitarians are our overseers.
How do we know that Google didnt build it in China first, to get the bugs out? We get version 2.0 even better!!

I do believe that’s what happened. China got the beta version.
I am convinced that some people have a real death wish.CW2 will sort out all these idiots.

Looks like I need to take up smoking to complete the list~!1
Just kidding.
I am a stubborn defiant type when I disagree with socio-political control and would probably go out of my way to rack up such points in order to see how they intend to enforce them.
If the Democrats gain power the same system will be implemented here
The mouse works just like the bar in a Skinner Box
What if I don’t participate in social media? Nothing for them to score me on.
The leftists are dying to implement such a system in America.
I’ve heard that even now, FICO type credit scores can affect ones ability to rent an apartment or how much you pay for certain car insurance policies. The way technology is evolving, it would be simple to graft your political leanings into such a score.
While we have the secret ballot in elections, some information, such as party registration as a Republican, is available and can be used against you.
And we know the Castro brothers in Texas think nothing of outing Trump’s donors and making that type of information public.
Your first mistake is believing it’s just “Democrats.”
Wasn’t this a Black Mirror episode?
p
Hacking that system could be a great business.
Brings back memories of HS Psych class.
Wait until this evolves into a chip that is implanted into the BART and Golden Gate Bridge Passes.
The leftists will engage a social credit system to control us, and we will control food, water and energy.
Let’s see who wins.
Chinese citizens dont have the second amendment to trump the social credit system.
