Minutes after their wedding ceremony, a young Texas couple was killed in a car collision as they were leaving the courthouse, CNN affiliate KFDM reported.

Harley Morgan, 19, and Rhiannon Boudreaux, 20, were killed in the town of Orange, more than 20 miles east of Beaumont, Texas.

They pulled out of the parking lot and were merging onto Highway 87 when their car collided with a pickup truck that was towing a trailer loaded with a tractor, the Orange Police Department said in a statement.

The newlyweds were leaving an Orange County Justice of the Peace precinct after their marriage ceremony, Lt. Gary Keaton, a spokesman for the department said. Behind them were the groom's mother and sister, who witnessed the deadly collision.

Oh, so that’s what caused their accident.

Damn, you’re cold.

Most couples start with next to nothing, but in many way’s that’s the fun part.

And it’s not to say I don’t think people shouldn’t be married in front of God.

I just don’t think the punishment for not getting married that way is crashing and dying immediately after!!

I am SURE God doesn’t operate that way or I’d be dead from 500 different sins in my lifetime.

In fact, how the heck he has let me survive all of the insane things I’ve done and given me a chance to redeem myself speaks Completely against this idea of God.

God didn’t punish me.

My sins led to the inevitable suffering that was to come as a result of my choices.

God gave me a thousand warnings, actually.

I just chose to ignore Him.

ALWAYS a bad move in the long run.

Your thinking is dead-on correct and I thank you for not knee-jerk reacting like all the rest.

Wonder if it was that idiotic game when friends or relatives try to chase and follow the newlyweds departing?

Good grief!

A vow made before the Lord is a vow in His presence REGARDLESS of venue!

Abraham was not married in a Church! And he married his half-sister. Was his marriage not valid?

I just don’t get some of my ostensible brethren.

That’s a pretty straight forward post.

And come on, we know there are those here who think that way.

“seventy times seven times” is just another math equation to those people.

I have some in my family.

My post 24 is long and boring :)

But I have known God’s patience. His patience has an end but it’s pretty long :)

The first time we moved we put everything we owned in the back seat. It was fun. We had a great time.

I’m not versed enough or knowledgeable enough to agree or disagree with you outright.

But you make a valid point.

The tragedy in this instance is that they were just going to start life together.

How sad.

You’re an ass and obviously know little about God.

Man alive, that’s sure the truth. God doesn’t operate that way or I wouldn’t be here either. And I know some very nice people who would prob not left us so soon.

So you’re saying that you “screwed up” your original post, yet have made no further comment to explain your original intent. The only thing you’ve done is respond to the one poster who gave you the benefit of the doubt. You’re not only acting ignorantly, but cowardly as well.

It’s sad about the nice people that go and i am sorry you lose them.

I guess we all have lost good people and that always hurts.

Free will could never play out if God jumped in that fast.

He may want to weep at our decisions sometimes but he lets us play out our choices.

And you and I would probably do some crazy reminiscing over a few beers :)

Get married in a church in front of God.

God is all seeing, God is everywhere.

Thirty years ago, I would have agreed with you. Of course, I knew everything at that point in my life.

If you aren’t too sure which Church God wants you in, but you are sure that you should get hitched before making babies, you are doing ok in my books.

Of course, I’m not God, and His books are what count—and He hasn’t revealed everything to me, so in this case, I am quite content to say both “Who am I to judge” and “getting married anywhere at that age is statistically above average—FWIW.”

The church is the people and wherever they are. A building is just a building.
