Barron Trump is 13 years old and already taller than his mother Melania, who is 5-foot-11 without high heels, and father, President Donald Trump, who is 6-foot-2.
The difference was apparent yesterday when the family walked alongside each other and boarded Air Force One in Morristown, N.J.
Boys around 13 years old on average measure around 5-foot-2 and continue to grow until around 17.
While his height is extraordinary for a youngster, his style certainly reflects his age. The teen kept his look casual in a black Ralph Lauren shirt, black jeans and white Nike sneakers that featured the Swoosh logo in black.

No, I think that’s right and traditionally has been. Girls have an early growth spurt that makes them taller than boys in their early teens but then they level off while boys continue to grow taller.
And for the average height of 13 year old boys to be 5’2”, there would have to be many boys shorter than 5’2”. I don’t believe that. I could go to the local junior jhigh here in Alabama and find many 13 year olds pushing 6’ or more and very few still around 5’.
If the stat is correct, then there are some really short boys in some part of the US I’ve never been.
I distinctly remember that in my 7th grade, the one 6-foot tall boy was considered a freak of nature. Head and shoulders above the rest of us.
And no, the Hispanic kids that were born in America are just about as tall as everyone else. Except the Guatemalans.
Agreed.
His workouts will probably be shaped by what sports he wants to pursue.
Should be interesting.
Maybe he should be pursuing basketball and not soccer.
A boy that size can easily eat you into the poor house!
When my son was around that age he could eat an entire box of cereal and a quart of milk for breakfast. You could put anything that was technically edible in front of him and it would be consumed in very short order.
Anyone else notice how tall young girls are today compared to girls just 1-2 generations back?
My wife is 5-7 and she was one of the taller girls in HS and now that seems average.
We went to 4-5 HS graduation parties this summer and the number of girls 5-10 to 6-0 was staggering with quite a few over 6’
I have not noticed boys getting that much taller compared to girls.
Haven’t seen any stats on that, though I’d be shocked if those of Peruvian descent, for example, born in the US reach the national average.
But of course a lot of our Hispanic youth weren’t born here and there is overall a sizable difference for Mexican Americans, for example:

No, Mexicans tend to be short legged
5’4” at 13, 6’1” at 17, 6’0” at 68.
If he can develop a jump shot, he might not need his parents’ money to get through college.
I agree. Girls have longest legs and are taller these days. I think because now they are as athletic as boys
I’m more proud of voting for OUR PRESIDENT Trump than of anything else I’ve done in my life. Indeed, even in 2016, I thought that if I had a magic button I could press to make anybody I wanted President, including myself, I’d push the button for Donald Trump. It’s mucho more times that way today.
Kimberly G is only 5'2" BUT, she has some outstanding features.
... and Peter Fonda is dead!

Barron has aged out of Fonda’s sick fantasy.
I’m sure Dad and his brothers have made sure he received self defense training. He’s putting on muscle.
That is correct. I almost forgot that the Trumps had a 13-year-old son at the White House. And that's the way it should be. I believe Amy Carter was a similar age and she too was kept mostly out of the spotlight. Chelsea Clinton is another story. I'm so sick of seeing her mug.
Wasn’t Amy in there negotiating peace in the Middle East?
(Kind of the ‘70s version of Kushner. ;-) )
girls have always been on average, taller than adolescent boys during a portion of the growth cycle, because boys mature later.
“Going to a tall man. Good thing his dad is rich because he would be miserable in coach.”
At 6’1” I’m miserable in coach. Then, about 15 years ago, I drove out to Davis, CA from Knoxville, TN and back, added up the total cost, and discovered flying round trip first class would have been cheaper. All of my subsequent round rips to CA have been first class.
I think it is greater in elementary school and reverses itself. Just surprised that the reversal wouldn’t take place sooner.
