Today’s Cryptogram

ZRK UFKOZKLZ YKOXZR PL ZH XPBK WHJZKJZ YPZR XPZZXK. ---QXOZH

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

Took a guess on word one, which opened up word eight and nine.
Got the Author, and the rest fell into place

Under 3 min. Third word from the end threw me, probably because I’m not there very often.

One minute. Got the first word and the rest flowed from there.

One minute. The first word and 4th and 5th words gave it away.

I think this quote works in Texas. Perfectly! But in California and NYC, they always want more more more more, better, best, greatest, biggest, fanciest, etc.

Far too easy today.<: <: <:

I can say that because I definitely couldn’t get a decent start on Thurs&Fri.....

Made the correct stab at first word today and the ink wasn’t dry in my first word before I had completed the statement.

Not really done in ink....(though I did used to do XWord puzzles in ink) BUT we will go along with the genius part.HA HA

I was using an example of how fast it got done...

Like the Satchel Paige ‘tall tale’ of the guy who was so fast he flipped the light switch and was under the covers before the glow went out....or something like that...<: <:

sorry, your explanation is not accepted.

You wrote:

"and the ink wasn’t dry "

and that's proof enough!

Your genius status remains!

The author opened it up pretty quickly. I got it probably in about a minute.
