On Friday, the family of 79-year-old Hollywood actor Peter Fonda announced that he had died.
It is with deep sorrow that we share the news that Peter Fonda has passed away, the family told People Magazine Friday afternoon. [Peter] passed away peacefully on Friday morning, August 16 at 11:05 a.m. at his home in Los Angeles surrounded by family. The official cause of death was respiratory failure due to lung cancer.
In one of the saddest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our hearts. As we grieve, we ask that you respect our privacy, they wrote, "and, while we mourn the loss of this sweet and gracious man, we also wish for all to celebrate his indomitable spirit and love of life. In honor of Peter, please raise a glass to freedom.
My comment is similar to that of Mccain.
Captain America he was to me too.
Uhhhh ..
RIP.
Thanks for sharing this. Looking back now, I can see that most of Ulee was his father--which is probably why it's better than most of Peter Fonda's other movies.
Good.
I’ll say something nice...
I own an XLCH and whenever I see these shots I wonder how the heck they got us to believe these Harleys crossed the country.
Too bad he couldn’t take his sister with him /megasarc
Reiner and jane fonda
Well...I won’t say anything bad about him at his funeral and he won’t say anything bad about me at mine.
The saying in those days was “I’d rather push a Harley than ride a Honda.”
A friend got a 68 Charger RT 440, blue with black vinyl top for high school graduation. We took it from Texas to California to Colorado and back.
It didn’t take very long. I only got one ticket, doing 78 in a 70 in Texas. $16. That car was fun to drive, and I had a 59 Corvette so it took a good rod to impress me.
Inspired John Lennon to write “She Said She Said”.
Is he going to be buried in NEW ZEALAND?
As he said in Easy Rider.....He blew it
RIP.
[The Trump curse.]
You notice old Bobby DeNiro, Alec Baldwin and George cLooney have been rather quiet lately.
Ill remember him first from The Trip. Written by Jack Nicholson. Weird.
Rode a black Honda in college. Kinda low by design.
Every now and then a Harley would go by and wave. Some, they’d realize I was on a rice-burner.
If it is any consolation, lung cancer is a horrible way to go.
