A prosecutor wants to know why a University of Alabama football fan who pleaded guilty to poisoning landmark oak trees at rival Auburn University in 2010 isn't making court-ordered restitution payments.
Harvey Updyke was ordered to appear in court October 30 to explain himself, Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes told WRBL-TV.
Updyke served more than 70 days in jail in 2013 and was ordered to pay about $800,000 in restitution after admitting to poisoning trees at Toomer's Corner in Auburn. Fans traditionally rolled the trees with toilet paper after a win, but the original oaks died after being doused with herbicide.
Updyke has paid less than $5,000 and often misses payments, Hughes said.

Toilet paper the went straight to the landfill increasing the load on an overworked sanitation system.

I feel bad for true Alabama fans, even though my father & two cousins were AU grads (War Eagle!) They have been tarred by this @-hole, and am sure they don’t claim him as one of their own.

Of course not. Locals that don’t go to the college are by far the worst fans.

1.) Hang him from the same kind of tree he poisoned until he rots, or
2.)Dress him up in his Alabama regalia and drop him off in the South Side of Chicago.
The dude is obviously a scofflaw and should not be allowed to thumb his nose at the law (unless he is a member of a privileged minority, in which case it would be okay /s).
