Trump keeping the pressure on. Stable Genius.
SO A LOT OF PEOPLE ON FACEBOOK ARE SAYING THAT OF COURSE PRESIDENT TRUMP CAN’T “ORDER” A PRIVATE BUSINESS TO GET OUT OF CHINA. In fact, he almost certainly can do just that, so long as he makes the right declaration. Under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, better known in the trade as IEEPA, presidents have a virtual blank check on regulating economic transactions with other countries, so long as they declare a national emergency — which can include one based on economic threats.
I’m not saying this is a good idea, but the people saying that “Trump’s an idiot, presidents can’t do that” are displaying their ignorance. Presidents absolutely can do that. Note that at present Trump is spreading fear, uncertainty, and doubt, by tweeting the order but NOT making the declaration that would be required to give it effect. It’s thus a shot across the bow — a metaphor that fits this quite well, really.
See also this earlier post, discussing an Obama action, and U.S. v. Spawr Optical, a disturbing but unexceptional example of judicially endorsed presidential power over international trade.
who and what is Kathy Hall? I’ve never heard of her? I know, I know, I’m totally lame...

These 6-7 miles are just one of the contracts that the Supreme Court had to bust loose from a lower court injunction last month. That also freed up other contracts that are starting work now on Arizona Federal Lands (63 miles) and in Yuma (7 miles, where separate contracts are putting in about 20 more miles - 10 already done. 46 more miles in New Mexico, extending the last 20 mile segment from El Paso further to the West (past the Columbus Port of Entry).
A second run of 30 foot bollards is half done in San Diego, and construction is ongoing in Tecate and Calexico in California (soon to start in Andrade).
Damn near the whole Rio Grande Valley is going to be on contract soon (95 miles). Five contracts have already been awarded down there. A month (or more likely two) after the public comment period closes next Monday (26 Aug), the rest of those contracts should drop like rain, with construction commencing about three months later.
There are billions more (about 4) in this years funding which has been identified (with the emergency declaration), but not yet committed, plus whatever comes next year.
The drought on wall building is over. Next year, the deluge.
Subject: In -town pool 6 — North Korea, more China
asked if Kim Jong Un violated his trust by firing more missiles after joint military exercises ended in South Korea, the president said, “No, I don’t think so. He likes testing missiles.”
He said his comments about “the chosen one” were sarcasm.
It was sarcasm, he said.
Asked if he still wants negotiations with China next month, he said, “I’m always open to talks.”

And the one and only way this news is going to go public is if we put it out.
The MSM? They are the enemy. Only way they would say a factual/positive word about anything is if they've got a hand around their throat.
Sanders and wife seem to be in some financial fraud problems. Don’t expect him to get to the middle of the nomination process!
Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL! Have you ever framed any of them, especially the pond?
