Today’s Cryptogram

ROMDKC DT EDPC KRTULQ LDE, CRTI CJLVXG UL XDMC FVU OQCROBVE VJCRTI UL URPC. ---ZLTG FDEEDJXT

Author of today’s quote

>

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: brain; cryptogram; puzzle; todayscryptogram
If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

Solution to our last puzzle:

IT IS BETTER TO GIVE THAN TO LEND, AND IT COSTS ABOUT THE SAME. ---PHILIP GIBBS

About 3 minutes. Take it for what it’s worth.

I think you need to try your hand at open mike night. You’re obviously a very funny fella, (or Gal?).

Regarding the Bonus yesterday, this is the first time I have considered it necessary to post a solution...usually it is pretty obvious, but seems like this one threw some folks. Probably due to Bill Murray’s extensive and sophisticated use of the French language contained in the quote. Anyway, the solution to yesterday’s Bonus quote:

Carl Spackler – “In the immortal words of Jean Paul Sartre, ‘Au revoir, gopher’.”

Have a great weekend everybody.

Catching up from vacation.

About 10 minutes. I guessed at the second word, then the third word, then the fifth word. That was enough to get me going.
