A performance video of the song "Distant Early Warning" from Canadian rock legends RUSH can be seen below. The clip is taken from the new RUSH film, "Cinema Strangiato: An Annual Exercise In Fan Indulgence", which will get a one-night-only cinematic screening on August 21.
The film, which takes viewers behind the scenes of RUSH's 2015 "R40" 40th-anniversary tour, features song performances, unreleased soundcheck and backstage footage, and new interviews with producer Nick Raskulinecz and RUSH fans Tom Morello, Billy Corgan, Taylor Hawkins, violinist Jonathan Dinklage and more.
RUSH singer/bassist Geddy Lee, who released "Geddy Lee's Big Beautiful Book Of Bass" in December, said: "I'm excited for fans to see some new clips from our 'R40' tour but also a peek behind the scenes of making the 'Big Beautiful Book Of Bass'."
The Trafalgar Releasing and Anthem Entertainment event has been made possible through a partnership with Concord Music Group.
Trafalgar Releasing senior vice president for acquisitions Kymberli Frueh said: "Trafalgar Releasing is thrilled to bring 'Rush: Cinema Strangiato 2019' to theatres around the globe for the first of what we're hoping will become an annual event bringing fans together to experience a celebration of one of the world's most popular rock bands."

Saw them in 1981, they were fantastic.....
Saw them live in the ‘80’s. They still sound good. My kids got into their newer music.
Geddy still looks the same.
Hey!!!!
ALWAYS a pleasure to meet another Rushian!
Fan since 1987, couple of shows under my belt.
Favorite album? What day of the year is it? :)
Crying since Aug. 1, 2015. When Neil came out you just knew it was over.
Thanks for the preview!
Sweet. What about Huck Finn?
My absolute favorite band of all time.
Uh....might wanna try that again. lol
I bought my first Rush album in 1981 (All the World’s a Stage) but didn’t see live until R30...however By-Tor and Xanadu and La Villa Strangiato made it worth the wait. One of the best live - and studio - bands ever, not just in the progressive hard rock genre, but across ALL genres.
“Sailing down the river with a black guy. I’m Geddy Lee, I can do what ever I want.”
I saw them in Lansing, Michigan during their 1975 Fly By Night tour. My best friend had their very first album, Rush, so I liked it and started my Rush collection and I have liked them ever since.
Also saw them in 1980 during their Permanent Waves tour in Wichita, Kansas. I was stationed there at that time and took my fiance.
Saw them twice. Once in the 80s and the Time Machine tour a few years back. Incredible.

One of my favs, too, but Alex’s Rock Hall acceptance speech was one of the most awful things ever.
The most over achieving musician in rock bar none. Bass, keyboard, and vocals all at the same time.
Amazing.

It is even more incredible when you realize it is JUST THREE GUYS!!
It is even more incredible when you realize it is JUST THREE GUYS!!
And they could do it all live. Blew me away the first time I saw them.

A modern day warrior
Named Tom Saywer
He floated down a river
On a raft with a black guy
Hold on , hold on, hold on! Stop! Stop!
Those aren’t the lyrics, Fat Ass!,,,,,,,,,
Take off.
A modern day warrior today’s Tom Sawyer
He floated down a river on a raft with a black guy
That was classic!
No, wait. I am old and confused. That wasnt from The Great White North. That was that South Park thing.
