You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:
Nothing is really work unless you would rather be doing something else. ---J. M. Barrie
Less than 2 minutes.
What? That was fast! With or without a hint? :-)
1 minute.
I cheated.
who is this guy?
Surely you jest...
(And I am not calling you Shirley)
:D
This one was a bit tougher for me - 12 minutes or so.
(Good! Who wants easy all the time!)
With.
Deeeeeeeeeeeep!!!!
Kinda like if they give you lemons, make lemonade....
That took me a while. I had no methodology that would work here, so I just threw darts till I hit something. Probably about 10 minutes.
Thank you for bringing this up.
I usually research these quotes before posting, in this case because, YOU ARE RIGHT, Lincoln among others were also listed as authors, but it turns out that Lincoln never said this in writing or spoken. (see the link below).
In fact, there is a good argument that the quote should be attributed to our old friend “Anonymous” but in the end, I chose the person pictured, since he was the first person it’s attributed to.
If anyone else is interested, after you’ve solved the CG, please see:

Did you right click the photo?
But now I know who famously said.”Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.”

I have no idea myself if Lincoln really said this, but it seems appropriate today and if its on the interweb, it must be true... ;)
meow!
the cat’s out of the bag!
and it was a top secret secret!
Seriously now, I only cheated myself out of having fun solving the CG.
Well you told the truth, and that’s the important thing.
