I live in Spain, having retired here in 2016 with my British citizen wife so we could enjoy the weather and be closer to her family in England. The part of Spain I live in has a large number of British expats. Nerja, which is one town over from ours, is called the largest British town not in Britain. You could live your life there and never have to learn a word of Spanish. You can imagine that a whole lot of them are concerned about Britain's scheduled departure from the EU and what it will do to disrupt their lifestyle. You would think that just that would be enough to occupy their time, but you would be wrong. A lot of them also like to make their feelings known about Donald Trump, especially if they hear that there is an American within moaning distance. Anyway, they have their own English language magazine called the Sentinella. If you want to get an idea of what is like you can look at some back issues here. Unfortunately they run a month behind so you can read online what I am writing about. They do love to get digs in on our President, which is why I seldom look at the magazine. But the other day my wife brought a copy home and this is what I read in one of their features:

Here's the question and please give an honest answer:
Would you select high contrast colour film, or would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?
Thanks for this excellent first-hand report. As we all suspect, the media is shaping history by using the distortion of contemporary people and things they hate. I fully expect DJT to be erased from future generations, save for comparisons to the most evil people known (Hitler). I wish I had an answer as to how to stop it, but I don’t.
The biggest anti-Trump person I know is an Australian guy who has never been to the US.

We are witnessing the power of the Brown Shirt Media. Over the course of a weekend we have seen the media narrative shift from what stupid candidates the Rats have and how Trump is crushing them to “Half the country are white terrorists” because two violent psychopath LIBTARDS murdered dozens of people. You just can’t say it any other way. And some of you still think we can fix this country?

Nobody here is listening and his numbers go up every time they do that stuff.

Mussolini burned newspaper offices because he knew they were agitating for the communist revolution Italy faced after WWI. FReepers have criticized me in the past for justifying that (as an attack on a free press), but it is clear now that it wasn’t an impartial media - very biased. We have the same here, easy to ignore - but it is impossible to ignore the millions that devour their BS as gospel truth.
The website for the Newark Star-Ledger here in NJ never misses an opportunity to slam Trump, recently going so far as to run a headline saying Brazil’s Trump (their president; I guess not leftist enough) was cutting down the rain forest. The comments ripped the editorializing apart; now I get my news from comments to fake news stories.
Somebody is listening to the Brown Shirt Media. We may be as bad as the libtards at times. 60 some million of them voted for Hillary. CNN may have lost half their audience but there are still millions drinking the kool aid and what’s left are seriously addicted zombie brains.
Haters gonna hate, and they don’t need a reason. Sheep with rabies...

I do agree Trump will win a second term. He’s the incumbent, after all and even the Brown Shirt Media can’t make him appear less deranged than any of the Rats. But it occurs to me, if I am correct, and for a number of reasons that all lean the same way, Trump is the last president, who would we rather have at the helm when the “ship hits the rocks”? Certainly not someone like 0bama or HIllary.
That's a realistic view to have, far healthier than thinking that a secret cabal of patriotic bureaucrats are working to restore America from behind the scenes. That's make-believe nonsense. The cavalry isn't coming to our rescue, any change will be up to us.
We spent decades looking for a guy on a white horse and GOT him but it doesn’t seem to have had the effect we might have hoped for. The Brown Shirt Media turned one of their own heroes (because he was) who had even won awards for his work in Civil Rights, opened Miami country clubs to blacks, into a violent white supremacist whom they have attacked relentlessly for years now. They really do have the power to bend reality anyway they prefer.
This same story was told about obama and other insidious leftist characters over the years. As usual the left is not original. The take everything they know from others then distort to fit their little fantasy world narrative.
With every passing day it becomes more crystal clear we can’t coexist with these subhuman leftists.

Well, the bright side is, THAT part right there is what is encouraging; people realize it and are not letting them get away with spouting the bullsh*t.

Sounds like the Spanish should expel them and seize their assets. If you go to live in a foreign country, you should make the effort to speak the local language.
