How Many Officers Entered Walmart in El Paso during the Shooting
self

Posted on 08/05/2019 5:21:38 PM PDT by DOC44

I have not heard any report of officers entering the Walmart in El Paso during the 20 minute shooting spree while he chased, targeted and killed people. Did they just wait for him to leave and catch him in a road block or car stop?

Videos can be lost, edited, or simply not released. People will have differing stories. Wonder if there are any independent video or did police seize all or like in another shooting ask everyone to delete their video. I always wonder in situations like this if they might be trying to hide people, maybe rogue undercover or people they turn to get information from?

One news report said none of Walmart’s security was on duty that day— odd coincidence.

Were there greeters at the door, or also curiously absent?Did he murder them as he walked in?
Seems like even greeters could have sounded some kind of alarm.
Attention shoppers & security personnel. Armed psychopath at north entrance.

Columbine HS was worse. Cops waited for almost an hour before entering the school; a teacher bled to death during that time.

Why would the media ask questions?
The only answers we need are “white supremacist Trump’s fault.”

Calm down.
Do you not understand that if Walmart’s retail guns & ammo were accessible to employees “under these circumstances” (which you cannot predict, thus, accessible under any circumstances) then any employee or wackjob could access them & go postal? Or shoot someone accidentally?

They’re lethal weapons. Walmart is supposed to keep them locked up & unloaded.

The store, OTOH, should have had security on duty. It didn’t. It WILL be sued.

“We have multi reports of multiple shooters.”

If said reports were prior to cops’ arrival at 6 minute mark, then callers could not possibly have confused police with shooters.

OTOH, this can be dispatchers’ errors. Caller reports hearing shots. Dispatcher asks location of caller. Multiple callers at multiple locations could be hearing / reporting the *same* shots /shooter.

Not sure but at one of the pressers today they went way out of the way to point out that all the shooting was at Wal-mart. Maybe we will get a report someday......

It’s considered rude to not use quotation marks or italics when quoting another’s remarks.

In Dayton the police engaged immediately, as was their job and duty. They deserve praise.

In El Paso, if all reports and video is to be believed, the police prefer to play “dress up” and are afraid to do their job and duty. It is possible, perhaps likely, that their timidity and fashion sense to look fabulous contributed to death and injury to those they pretended to serve that day.

More and more glad I was retired before you entered the military - arriving is like hitting the parking lot...means nothing without active entry...like a fireman showing up and never unwinding the hose.

We need to take it down and get rid of the military gear and armored cars and get back to wearing a blue uniform, a radio and focus on being peace officers in touch with the community instead of trying to lord over it.

Awwwww man, that'd take all the fun outta bein' a cop.

Do you mean shots fired by EP PD??

From what I’ve read, they didn’t fire any shots. Trying to find confirmation, either way.

Thanks.

You guys are all Superbowl Winning QBs in your arm chairs.

You were not there. You don’t know what was being communicated. You have not idea of what these guys were doing.

Except, you sit at your computers and declare the entire police force in El Paso is manned by cowards.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Exactly what I’ve been thinking. I haven’t read anything about CCTV. That would show everything. Something is not right with this.

If you call 911 from a cell phone, the dispatcher doesn’t know where you are. They depend on what you tell them.

But to your point, surely someone in WalMart calling would have said “WalMart”. Maybe somebody said, “I’m at the mall” and wasn’t clear they had run outside and across the parking lot?...

I never said that they were cowards - I simply pointed out your false meme that arriving on site in 6 minutes was the relevant factor in their performance because being in the parking lot and actually trying to engage were different things and necessitate different marks on the timeline...
BTW, you chastise everyone for not being there and knowing what they were doing - you also weren’t there.
