Two women involved with a group called Mothers Against Senseless Killings were shot dead Friday on a South Side Chicago block where moms gather to help curb gun violence. Police say they don't believe the two young mothers were the intended targets.
The deaths of Chantel Grant, 25, and Andrea Stoudemire, 35, in the Englewood neighborhood served as a grim reminder of the kind of violence that led them to participate in neighborhood activities organized by Mothers Against Senseless Killings. The anti-violence group launched five years ago following the shooting death of another young mother at the same corner. The group began with moms "occupying" the corner, reports the Chicago Sun-Times hanging out and offering food and counseling for youth in response to violence in the community.

LOL.
LMAO!
At least they were trying to make a difference. Maybe they could be seen as foolish and naive. Regardless, RIP. How’s that new black lesbian mayor working out, Chicago?
If only Chicago has the “toughest” gun control laws in the nation. And gun free zones. These things wouldn’t happen.
“”We have no information to suggest they were the intended targets,” he said Tuesday, adding that police are still seeking leads in the case. No arrests have been made.”
Dear Lord, please hold these two wonderful women close to your heart and bless their families. What beautiful ladies and have done more for people than many in Congress.

See here, a blog for Chicago cops:

This is incredibly sad. There is no hope for Chicago until they get rid of the Corrupt Dem Machine.
Maybe Chicago should outright ban guns - that should stop the shootings. Look what it did for London.
Do they have any information suggesting they were not?
Condolences to families and friends of Chantel Grant and Andrea Stoudemire.
That can be said for most of these big, Democrat run cities. Unfortunately, their residents don't see it.
Yet.
Prayers for them and their families. Terrible loss.
I agree. Very sad. They evidently were trying to tell the “youths” that there is a better way. Yes, I’m sure they knew the usual gun control talking points. Gun control groups can rope in well-meaning people to make it appear the group has something constructive rather than a political agenda.
Agreed, they were doing more than 99% of people who sit around and bark. As for lightfoot, shes already managed to piss of all the cops
One of the biggest problems with astroturf groups funded by Bloomberg et al is that they attract the naive and foolish. 'Moms against X' or 'Mothers for safe Z' are hatched from a central location, their domains registered to the same top-down entity.
Local people think it's a grassroots movement so they join up and do the dirty agitation work - FOR FREE. Bloomberg can't believe his luck, not least because the women become 'beards' for left-wing elitists and draw media coverage.
But frontline work in war zones is hazardous and random. It would be like forming a group called 'Citizens against trench warfare' and having the Tommies and Doughboys climb out and expose themselves to the enemy.
Go with God ladies, you were doing His work and He will welcome you home.
Yeah, it was a coincidence, I'm sure......
