I’ve had a gun pulled on me once and saw a gun sticking out of a small duffel bag of a passenger in my cab once.
It was maybe 4am and he wanted to go to a courthouse or some other public building that was closed at 4am.
I saw the gun sticking out and I just parked the car at a light and ran! lol
It was the old days so I ran to a pay phone and called the dispatcher (before the police!)
He asked me where the car was. I said at the light on so and so street!!
“you left it there?”
“yep” :)

Yeah it’s been a crazy life only because when pop died I was 14 and went wild for a lot of years until abut 27.
My poor mom.
My brother promised my father he would never take work from my Uncle, who was actually high up in the Italian Anti-defamation league. Which was a front for the mafia.
I was only 14 so I was never asked to make that promise...
That led to some interesting times.
then there’s the cab...
And the vending machines and the loan sharks and sit downs to bail me out of trouble...well, you get the idea.
This is 25 plus years ago so NO ONE cares about it. or I wouldn’t type it.
Now, life is BORING AS HECK!!
But that’s good now.
