BIRMINGHAM Alabamas busiest airport is partnering with a company that can identify passengers through eye scans and fingerprints.
Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport recently added kiosks offering the technology for a fee, Al.com reported.
The CLEAR service is available for a $15 per month membership, paid annually, with various discounts for family members.

In Sweden, they are getting chipped.
Ping to the state list.
I’ve considered using CLEAR. So far, no. Mostly because of the cost. Time, I have; money, not so much!
Is that to tell if you’re a birl or a goy? Who knows anymore.
Wait ‘till we hear when the name of the chip company is something like “Code 18” (6+6+6).
$15 monthly membership to hang with Big Brother.
Never volutarily flying ever again. So far 18+ years not being assraped and violated and treated as a criminal.
Last year, I had a six month contract going around the country teaching computer courses (just like I used to do at AU). I was flying a lot. three or four trips a month.
At first I flew out of Atlanta, but hated the drive and traffic, plus parking.
So I switched to Montgomery. Since the contract paid the air fare, it didn’t cost me more. Let me tell you, TSA in Montgomery is very friendly; in fact, they remember you when you’re there every week, and easy-peasy to get through even if you’re new.
Coming back from this or that airport is another story entirely. If the contract was longer, I surely would have got CLEAR.
...while illegal aliens slip across our borders unchecked and Democrats encourage them to do so.
I’m a frequent flyer on Delta and get a discount on CLEAR; I think it costs me $79 annually. I take at least two roundtrips per month. CLEAR can be a real lifesaver when the airport is crowded; I can get from the Metro station at Reagan National (DCA) across the river from Washington, DC to the Delta Sky Club just beyond the TSA checkpoint in 7 minutes using CLEAR, when the regular line can be 30-40 minutes long.
As I go to Birmingham (BHM) at least once per year on business, CLEAR’s arrival there is very good news. I wish they would open up at O’Hare; that would seem to be a logical airport for them, but they are not there yet.
I had CLEAR tears ago. But at DFW they only had it the non-AA Terminal E so I never used. Eventually we just let it lapse.
Pre Check works well enough,
i use it. the govt has the info already so why shouldnt I have the convenience?
I don’t think so -
