An article has been published in the Nashville Tennessean and folks need to go read it. It talks about "copycat" legislation being passed across thousands of locales banning the implementation of Sharia Law. The main thing I wanted to point out is that this long article gives almost NO information on what Sharia Law actually entails, but is only bent on saying that people are discriminating against muslims.
Logically, why would one implement a law system that directly contradicts in many ways the present system of law? Why implement a system of law that allows cutting off hands and beheading for punishment when the present system does not allow that? And, many other things in Sharia Law do not work with our system. So, why try to get that established? Takeover. That is all it could be. And, the media that publishes this trash is advocating for such. The media IS the enemy when they do that.
It is time to bring this stuff to a screeching halt and punish people who try to get Sharia Law passed. No more. We're not going to do it.

Excellent post. None of that is mentioned in the article. Not one bit of it.
In early 2003, C-SPAN televised an American Islamic conference. Many speakers repeated the phrase, “Islam is peace”. Near the end of the conference, an Islamic scholar arose to define the phrase.
He began by saying that Islam was not a pacifist religion. He said that in Islam, peace is the result of Islamic justice. If there is no Islamic justice, there is no peace. There is where the phrase, “No justice, No peace” came from. He said the United States wouldn’t see peace until there is (Islamic) justice. Islamic justice = Sharia law.
In other words, the phrase, “Islam is peace” defines ‘peace’, not, ‘Islam’. Islamic peace is the result of Islamic justice. This differs from the type of peace where two enemies get along with each other. The goals of Islam is to put the world under the Sharia, which is Islamic law.
Very true. I believe it can also be translated as “submission”. There’s the peace they’re talking about. Bend the knee, or lose your head.
Our Constitution forbids the establishment of a theocracy.
Shariah law requires the establishment of a theocracy.

Interestingly, I have friends who were doing missions work in a what shall remain unnamed muslim country, and they said the biggest thing that turns people away from islam is ..... sharia law.
People over in the Middle East HATE living under sharia law and so they are beginning to reject islam as well.
