An evening palate cleanser to follow up on this post from earlier in the week. There will come a point when these deepfake mindfarks become routine and lose the frisson of wonder which they currently inspire, probably sooner than we think.
But not yet. Not today.
The deepfake maestro who’s putting these together clearly has found a muse in the Carrey-for-Nicholson swap. This vid’s both better and worse than the one I posted a few days ago. Worse in the sense that the face-mapping isn’t quite as seamless here as it was in the previous clip. There are moments in this one in which Carrey’s face seems a touch too large for Nicholson’s head, to a slightly unnatural degree.
But better in the sense that this scene is iconic, which makes it that much trippier to see a different actor cast in the main part. It’s like watching the Obi-Wan/Vader lightsaber battle in “Star Wars” except with Patrick Stewart doing the honors instead of Alec Guinness.
They’ve gotta work on voice-swapping too, though. I want the full experience.

Everybody should hurry up and rush to see this movie, the sooner we give Hollywood our Money the faster they can continue their JIHAD on AMERICA and the American People.
and don’t forget, Hollywood HATES YOU and AMERICA!

Watch a Jim Carrey film? Not now. Not ever. Okay, The Mask was pretty good but since then his nasty political paintings are sickening.

That was always the most overrated movie. Stanley Kubrick’s worst IMO. I think that was 95% because he only had crap to work with a Stephen King novel.
Meant to appeal to the kind of people who sit around being angsty and cutting their arms with razor blades.
But other than that, it sucked.
The only cool part was that “Here’s Johnny” thing. But a millenian wouldn’t even get that one cool joke.

Well be traveling in Colorado this weekend and touring the Stanley Hotel where the Shining was shot. Wish me luck. At least I probably wont end up frozen to death in the maze, though I have been thinking lately that my sons are in need of correction and discipline

At this point watching him, I can only see that girlfriend he gave a social disease to and drove her to suicide. Hard to see him as very funny anymore after that.

Hollywood appears to be fully of lazy and unimaginative people.
I expect them some day to start making remakes of the remakes.

It is sad what has happened to Shelley Duvall, she is completely bat-shit crazy off her rocker nowadays...

SCADA pretty much eliminates any reason to have a caretaker and his family have to overwinter in an isolated mountain resort.
But ignoring that, in this age of feminism, shouldn’t he be a beta cuck and his wife is the caretaker that goes nuts this time and finally freezes to death?

To: dead
I read it but in this age of crappy remakes, I figure someone in Hollywood will actually think this is a good idea.

To: griffin
Include Stephen King in that and we are good to go.

It will be a failure, because all Carey will try to do is “out-weird” he role that Nicholson played.

He’s got enough crazy in him to play the role credibly.

This is not a new Jim Carrey movie, it’s the old movie that someone CGI’ed his face over Jack Nicholson’s.
Why? You got me, someone apparently has a lot of free time

Can’t sand him and will never watch another film he’s in.
