An Illinois mother was arrested after authorities say she was driving around with her kids inside a pool on the roof of her vehicle.
The Dixon Police Department said they were notified by a concerned citizen about the vehicle on Tuesday.
Officers found the vehicle driving around with a blue inflatable pool on the roof with two juveniles inside of it.
She was also cited for failure to secure a passenger of the age of 8 and under the age of 16.

The inflated pool could be probably blown away as easily as a bounce house with kids inside.
You’d be amazed (or maybe not) at the number of people with absolutely no ability to think past the next 5 minutes. I call them the text generation. No need to learn how to plan or schedule or think past the next immediate action. After all, they just text everything and it happens. My bet is mom said “let’s go inflate the pool in town” and it never occurred to her how she would get the inflated pool back home. After all, that’s too far ahead to consider. After inflating the pool, well, can’t go buy rope, because can’t take the inflated pool and somebody might steal it, so stick the kids in it and go. Completely unable to think through deflating the pool, buying rope, and re-inflating it. Too many steps.
A bicycle pump would have been cheaper.
this is something my friends and I would have done in a heartbeat when we were 12-14, yes we were driving around town at that age.
I feel terrible saying this ... but I wish I’d thought of that.
And also, HOW?
Oh, I take that back. I thought it had water in it.
I had some friends that were state troopers. The stories they would tell me! The sobering thing to remember these people vote!

Not having water in it is tantamount to carry a pistol and having no bullets.
I hate my home state. It’s full of such dumb people.
A guy used to drive by here sometimes. He had a dog standing on top of the cab. Even tho there was carpet attached, it had to be dangerous for the dog.

Uhh, under what circumstance is an 8 year old over the age of 16? Ouch, shouldn’t have asked. It’s Illinois.
LOL!!
She should have just put the air in the trunk!
Well you know kids tend to be heavy these days. If she didn’t exceed 5 mph ...
NOW... it makes sense! Dumb and dumber III -when harry met lloydita..
