Gonna be very interesting to see how New Zealand's populace reacts to this.

The government is talking softly at the moment, but with the December deadline looming, there are hints they will consider using the violence of law enforcement agencies against citizens.

“We urge people to stay calm,” Mike Clement, New Zealand Police’s deputy commissioner of national operations, told The Washington Post.

“We acknowledge that you’re a law-abiding citizen and through no fault of your own you now find yourself in possession of firearms that are now illegal,” he said, but he noted that once the amnesty period expires, there is no excuse for holding on to weapons.”

There you go, no excuse for having guns. The Kiwis, especially the UK descended ones are normally very law abiding. Making innocent people felons at the whim of some PM with permanent PMS is a good way to produce (we hope) another shot heard round the world.

Rational people know there is EVERY excuse for holding their weapons.

“Gonna be very interesting to see how New Zealand’s populace reacts to this.”

Yep, and what happens next is TOTALLY in the hands of the government there. If they want the guns, they WILL get them, as they have the laws, and likely the courts, on their side. The key is to NEVER let the government get as far as they are in NZ - stop the laws before you need to ‘cling’.

“Excellent! Fight the tyranny!”

They’re not fighting yet, and I doubt they do fight. Right now they’re simply not complying and haven’t yet broken any laws, nor had to watch any show-trials.

Let’s see what happens next year.

The cowardly fems who run NZ will target the weak and out of power, the rude and aggressive who are nominally on the side of the NZ elite will not even be bothered by gun confiscation.

I would bet a good dollar that today ethnic gangs from NZ’s protected minorities are on social media brandishing their guns as if none of this is happening.

One of the Maori gang leaders has already openly said they’re turning in nothing.

Yes there is a registry, at least for recognized E-class “military style semiautomatics”. Look on YouTube for one “kiwitedferny”...he posted some great videos of war history and weapons (his old mancave was to die for), and on several of them he goes into great detail about New Zealand’s gun laws before all this mess took place.

Those Kiwis that have C-class (collector) licenses are moving to transfer what they can from E-class to C-class...others are waiting to see what the “buy-back” amounts offered look like. (That still hasn’t been finalized...clearly the Kiwis moved to mimic Australia’s laws without doing the math first.)

When the British came for American guns it lead to a new nation that protected the right of self defense. Leftists have been trying ever since to undo that.

A microcosm of what would happen in the US if the government here tried that tactic.

There are an estimated “1.2 million to 1.5 million firearms in New Zealand,” yet only “about 700 firearms have been voluntarily surrendered.” More good news: There’s no registry of semi-auto firearms in NZ, so door-to-door armed thefts of such firearms can’t be done.

Sounds like the gun owners are silently revolting.
