In 2019, we cant afford to not get political, even with escapist entertainment. So even though Elizabeth Banks Charlies Angels reboot is a high-stakes, globe-trotting spy thriller comedy, she still made sure to send a message with extreme real-world ties within the story about female spies: Believe women.
Letting female rage express itself was one of the most important aspects of the new installment of the Charlies Angels franchise, Banks, who directed, wrote and co-stars, tells Collider along with a small group of journalists. One of the ingredients of this movie was supporting and believing women, she says. We literally have a character who is essentially working at a big corporation and is not being believed or listened to by her bosses.
Charlies Angels, starring Kristen Stewart, Ella Balinska and Naomi Scott as the new iteration of badass female spies, centers on Scotts character Elena when shes just a normal civilian as she hires the Townsend Agency to help uncover a sinister plot she discovered within a large tech company. Her journey towards becoming an Angel herself is the story of the new movie, set in the same world as the original 70s TV series, 2000 movie and 2003 sequel.
One of the statements this movie makes is that you should probably believe women, Banks adds. We have as much validity in what were feeling and how we want to go about living in the world, being in the world, and that was really important to me, that we felt like we had characters that were being taken seriously and given a chance to live their best life.

Virtue signaling convinces the left of its own unimpeachable morals. When push comes to shove, it rejects guilt for any of its wrongdoing and attributes such allegations to conspiracy theories.
Peter Daou, a Democratic strategist and former advisor to Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, tweeted on Monday that Ford will be "attacked, smeared, and demonized" and that people must "BELIEVE WOMEN."
She should ask the Duke lacrosse players what they think of that or the victims of this woman.....

And while we’re at it, court costs should be ‘loser pays.’
What! No Asian?
>>I would say just from looking at the cast it will be better than GB2016.<<
That is like saying it will be the best yodeler in Harlem.
Of course, there’ll be a mandatory Negress.
Well, there’s just another rotten flick I’m not going to watch, even on Netflix.
Something’s wrong. He’s not wearing his trench coat.
1 LGBT and 2 mixed African/Carribean. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
None of them come close to Farrah Fawsett
These radicals will never learn:
“Get ‘WOKE’, go BROKE!”
I always thought Jaclyn Smith was the hottie on that show.
What’s the over-under on how much money they’re going to lose on this? My guess is $100M.
Let me guess ... theyre all lesbos, Bosley is a tranny, and Charlies gay. Right?
Getting sick of empowered women movies where they jump hirer, shoot better, more cunning and daring, and able to do everything a man can...yet a man still can’t belt the crap out of them!
Well, either Lucy Liu’s character was too tough to rehash, or all the competent Asian actresses know better than to get woke with a turkey.
Outstanding Meme.
.....”Getting sick of empowered women movies”.....
Sheesh! You can say that again! Especially on Netflex! You can tell the Obamas, esepcially michelle, have infected the selections...you have to wade through uninteresting titles of gays, women, blacks, climate change junk, transgenders and all the other leftist junk movies/shows of bad scripts and terrible actors before you might see something worth a watch!
This is another self-absorbed, feminist foolishness that I won’t see. As far as women lying goes, women lie all the time. Just ask Adam.
