Today’s Cryptogram

CRO IVTZOFT NHP QOC EFHG KJCOFICPFO SOXOVS HV CRO DPOTCJHVT NHP XHTO. –GIFQIFOC ICZHHS

Today’s CG is courtesy of the Arkansas Gazette.

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: brain; cryptogram; puzzle; todayscryptogram
If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

Solution to our last puzzle:

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. In poetry, it's the exact opposite. --- Paul Dirac

A few false starts, but eventually I got the shorter ones right and the rest followed.

21 minutes! That’s what happens when you do the cryptogram when you’ve just woken up on 4 hours sleep!

Ten minutes. Got the first and third three-letter words, then guessed the six-letter word. I figured out the rest after that.

That took a while. I bumbled around strangely. I mean, I chose correctly on the 3 letter and 4 letter words, but as the letters filled in on the longer ones I thought, “that can’t be right...” and yet it was, I just... had to bumble longer before I saw.

Around 7-8 minutes. I got the first word then a bit stuck. Second hint was guessing at the double letter in the last name, and then filling in words 3 and 4. That opened it up.
