A Florida man pulled over in North Carolina for a traffic violation was arrested for carrying 98 grams of cocaine and 35 grams of meth in his vehicle.
Orlando Lopez, 43, a Palm Coast, Fla. native, faces two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, two counts of trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and several other charges.
Unfortunately, the man’s mugshot has become a bigger story than the crimes he’s charged with.
After the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office posted his mugshot on social media, comments on Lopez’s appearance began to pour in prompting the office to clarify its comments policy.
“The views and opinions expressed by private citizens who may comment on this post are not adopted by and do not reflect the official policy or position of this law enforcement agency," the sheriff’s office wrote.
A note was also added saying “it is obvious that (Lopez) has suffered some type of injury” and asking people to refrain from making jokes or negative comments.
“Even though this individual has been charged for committing a crime, he is still someone’s child/family member,” the sheriff’s office wrote.

I AM sorry.
After my brain injury, I was in the psych ward three times in three years.
It was because I couldn’t TRUST MYSELF at home alone with the pain!!
NO ONE believes that.
I needed 3 weeks a year where I COULDNT harm myself and did not have to stress over it.
THANK God by the fourth year the pain because bearable and besides immediately when I wake up, is now gone.
NO ONE should be driven to suicide from pain.
I AM very sorry.
