(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire. Or both.)

They didn't seem to understand the statement "it broke all of the laws of nature as we know them." After the object departed one of the first things my friend and I discussed was, should we tell anyone? This is one of the reasons why my friend and myself didn't tell anyone for a year about the experience except family members.
I actually saw the UFO about 10 miles from the border of California and Nevada. I thought the same thing, "Should I tell anyone?" I told my wife she believed me. No one at work though. That is the problem with seeing anything out of the ordinary, people, who weren't there and didn't see the object, try and tell you what they think it is you actually saw, like you're an idiot.

Have you ever seen “ball lightning”? I have once, after a bolt of lightning it bounced right through my camp. Very weird stuff.

Yes, I once saw ball lightning above me while hiking a trail at 10,000 in the Sierra Nevada of California back in 1969. The green orb I saw was not ball lightning. It was at least 50 feet across in size by estimate of the distance it was from me.

I used to see UFOS too.
Then I stopped drinking my supper from a clay jay marked with “XXX” and a corn cob stopper.
Then they all went away.
(Snicker, snicker)
Sorry I just had to...

Nah, not a trucker but I do a few friends that are.
Just a good ole boy with a warped sense of humour.
But I do sound like this fella on the CB.

As long as they stay on the MO side, I have no problem with them.

Today we saw a terrible science fiction movie from the ‘50s. The spaceship was being bombarded by a meteor shower. It was popcorn. So funny.

Very similar experience and aftermath. We also saw it around ten miles from the California border after we turned on the road to Hawthorne, Nevada, at Mono Lake.
People have asked me what it was. My answer of course was "I don't know". I find it grimly amusing that people who weren't there are so certain they do know. Discussing these things always evokes the usual snarky comments. I have no problem with snarky comments as long as they're clever. Still haven't seen a clever one.

That’s pretty funny! It’s a tie!

They are aliens ya know. Do ya really think a border is gonna stop them? We may need a very, very high wall between Missouri and Kansas.
Nip it, nip it in the bud.
