Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that even I can see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country. People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced theyve never seen prosperity, and as a result, elect politicians dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.
Why? The answer is this: My generation has ONLY seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didnt live in the Great Depression, or live through two world wars, or see the rise and fall of socialism and communism. We dont know what its like to live without the internet and smartphones. We dont have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and its spreading like a plague.

OK, go ahead and read it, but just once.
Loved your post!
And don’t let humblegunners posts rattle you. He our official “Get off my lawn!!” guy and we love him.
I give this young woman’s parent an A+!
Pay no mind, Mama. Humblebummer is Free Republic’s resident pathetic nonstarter.
“Youre racist.”
LOL! This is getting good.
Thats a grandiose self assessment.
Nothing wrong with loving oneself, though.
This is just as much news worthy as the majority of the BS posted on FR these days.
I’m very much aware of Humble. I’ve been a member of this forum since 2000, and am very rarely NOT on FR most of the day.

WOW ! Look at you go ! That’s right, washout ... reach for the stars.
Hey, I’m just glad to see a millennial that gets it.
You seem angry.
Is it my fault that this thread isn’t news?
Is it my fault it got moved to where it belongs?
What exactly is it that you’re so pissed off about?
This is as relevant and newsworthy as 95% of what passes for “news”(DNC talking points) on FR these days.
Bingo!
It’s called taking things for granted.
There is no appreciation of the pain and sacrifices those before them endured that make their lives luxurious in comparison.
LOL!
Very true.
Thank you.
My generation (post WWII baby-boom) has only seen prosperity (Okay, except maybe when Carter was President.) but WE CAN READ. WE DON'T WATCH FAKE NEWS. AND WE VOTE!
