Well, I guess with a recess coming up, the optics are bad for the dems if they’re given one more chance to do something and head off to recess without having done anything.

I still wish the president would not talk tough unless he’s going to follow through. I’ve heard a number of things declared that have not, as far as I know, come to fruition.

I don’t understand why these illegals are still being dropped into the country when a court ruled that they could stay in Mexico until processed. Then I heard they were all being taken to sanctuary cities, but that didn’t happen. I also heard the threat of shutting the border completely....again, didn’t happen. Then the cutting off of funding, which I think happened but has been restored.

If these people could not work (e-verify), could not go to schools, could not get welfare or healthcare, driver’s licenses, etc., not only would they self deport, they’d quit coming! Very frustrating.

I believe there is no doubt at all that Pence is a good and honorable man.

I also believe he is afflicted with "Beltway Insider Disease".

Insiders trust other Insides because? Well, because they are Insiders.

Coats has been a DC Insider since 1981, first in the House of Representative, then the senate, an ambassadorship to Germany, a lobbyist, then back to the senate, and finally Director of National Intelligence.

Like so many others, he is part of the Deep State and helped build the system that president Trump is trying to reform.

They have gradually and intentionally created a system so complex and convoluted that it can only be navigated by an outsider like president Trump with the help of Insiders.

And their allegiance to the Deep State is greater than their allegiance to the president.

The president had, and has, no choice - he needs to appoint insiders to get anything done in Washington.

But there are few, if any, Insiders who are fully on board with the president.

And there are far too many Insiders who think they know what is best and drag their heels rather than fully support the president.
