When I was a young kid, my dad tended bar at a restaurant that clam chowder. We didn’t have much money, and my dad would bring the left over clam chowder home, because they made it fresh every day. I got so tired of it, and I was convinced it caused styes on my eyes. I can’t eat clam chowder to this day.
Sourdough bowls of clam chowder are a big hit in San Francisco, but I just ate the sourdough bread from there, the best in the world.
