It’s time to abolish the welfare system. All of it. Lock, stock and barrel. No food stamps. No Medicaid. No housing assistance. We can make an exception for the physically disabled, but all others can get a job, rely on relatives, or starve. Children can be removed from improvident parents and put up for adoption, or be put in orphanages.
We would have a difficult decade or two while we flushed the system, but it would solve a lot of problems.
Wow, all those misspent years in my youth going to bars. All the money spent on drinks for ladies, wasted. All I had to do was run a small classified "Sperm Donor - FREE!"

What a screwed up world this is. And what a slap on the face of fatherhood.
What didn’t get into the article:
He signs contracts with each woman that he’s not financially responsible for the child.
But he has been successfully sued for paternity by a number of the women.
This guy’s credit is shot to all hell.
This is arguably child abuse. It is bad enough to donate to a single mother on welfare, but a woman who doesn’t even have the wherewithal for that ... he’s guaranteeing a bad life outcome for that child.

Can’t afford Food and Shelter, but Mama needs to be connected.
She lives in a shelter and not only sees herself at this point in her life as a mom, she desires to be a mom at this point.
A benevolent dictator would have prevented Nagel ftom making his donation and prevent such donations to ANY unmarried woman and any woman even if married if they lacked the necessary financial means, on their own, to care for their child.

I think I need this sentence explained a little more fully.
Did we have artificial imseminators present to do the insemination? You don’t just walk around with a “cup” of semen. Those little wigglers don’t do well at less than body temp.

I have a theory — these kind of sperm donors, if not most sperm donors, have a screw loose, as do the women. Crazy genes are going to produce kids who are majorly screwed up.
Some kids, though, might reject their parents as weird. A former roommate of mine, who was born of a quickie union, is very bitter & cynical toward her father.

She blamed everything bad in American history on white males - including the black male who fathered 78 children out of wedlock and essentially abandoned all of them.
