I remember Peggy Lee and that that song.
Peggy had a very sultry voice.
Also, I remember “Fever” and the movies “Pete Kelly’s Blues” and “Lady and the Tramp.”

Yes - good reminders - I remember all that too.

That song is exaggerated of course, but something I didn't realize until I got older is that most of the women I knew growing up and as an adult are more or less like the lady in that song.

I'm talking about moms, aunts, neighborhood ladies, our grandmothers, mothers and wives.

They are very skilled and capable, work(ed) hard and tirelessly in and out of the house taking care of home and family without hardly a complaint.

Most were truly equal partners before democrats ever claimed it as a political gimmick.

Democrats think they discovered something but for generations traditional conservative women have been doing the hard work of making a house into a family home and raising their families right alongside their husbands.

Those I knew and know stay busy building and living good lives instead of marching around complaining about all the things and people they don't like and demanding more free stuff.

And they haven't lost their femininity and aren't insulted if a man gives them a compliment!

It’s mine. I’m in southern part just five miles from Washington County(Salem) . The tornadoes follow the river north of us. (One friend has lost building or home three time. Storm is closer to Bartholomew county (Columbus ) We can still hear the thunder roll and will have some rain/wind.

Back in the day when feminism was just getting started my folks lived in CA.

My dad was incensed with how some women were acting.

He got told off when he opened a door for a women, got told off when he waited for a women to exit an elevator 1st.

He said this isn’t going to end well and he sure called that one right.

Now with this toxic masculinity thing....

Makes me sick for our young men who have to put up with all this garbage.

At least if they were raised by a good caring family, they will be able to sanely handle all this.
