Det. Mike Sheehan, lead detective on the case and later a fine city beat reporter for Fox 5 passed away Friday at 71 from cancer. He and I attended tbe same Jesuit HS,one year apart. I had hoped to see him at a reunion luncheon last month when I was told of his illness. He was a streetwise, well read, honest guy. Interestingly he became a mentor in the NYPD to a young man I had taught in 7th grade in Bklyn and who retired from NYPD at Detective First. He is on record that the Netflix drama is 100% Bravo Sierra.

Also, the only reason these creeps have been in the news is because it is one of the first times that Donald Trump took a public position. He was outraged at this event and the whole “wilding” thing that was happening everywhere in NYC. I was caught in two of them - both on the Upper Eastside close to Spanish Harlem. I am so glad to read these details, because I have found the charges leveled against Donald Trump in relation to this case troubling, in light of the MSM’s false promotion of the innocence of these felons.
