The daughter of “Dynasty” actress Catherine Oxenberg spent a year on a 500-calorie-a-day diet while in Nxivm’s secret sex cult, a former slave testified Friday.
Ex-member “Nicole” testified that “Smallville” actress and alleged slave master Allison Mack was so manipulative, she’d threaten to starve Oxenberg’s daughter India even further to ensure that Nicole remained obedient.
”When India and I became close, they would use her to make me behave,” Nicole explained during the sex-trafficking trial of accused Nxivm leader Keith Raniere.
“Alison was trying to have [Oxenberg] get down to a certain weight, and they decided that goal weight was 107 pounds,” Nicole said.
Previous witnesses have described how Raniere preferred his “slaves” skinny, sleep-deprived and compliant.
“It was just really hard to watch, sometimes,” Nicole sobbed as she recalled seeing Oxenberg struggle with her forced diet. “It was tough on her.”
Even when Nicole finally gathered the courage to leave the group, Mack tried to lure her back in, again using her friend.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but it sounds like all these “slaves” were adults and willingly gave themselves up to this cult.

I read the article and it sounds like they controlled people with blackmail and finances. However the material for blackmail and financial docs were provided willingly by the victims themselves. They WANTED the cult to have absolute power over their lives because they themselves felt they lacked the discipline to live free.
Terrible way to take advantage of weak people but what exactly was illegal?

Racketeering is the overall charge cult leader Keith Raniere is facing. The predicate acts for the racketeering charge include a litany crimes.
Human trafficking
Identity theft
Sex trafficking
Tax evasion
Money laundering
Involuntary servitude (slavery)
Child pornography
Fraud
Statutory rape
Illegal campaign donations (to hillary)
Conspiracy

The other five co-defendants all pleaded out before the trial started. Raniere is likely facing the rest of his life in prison.
I’ve been documenting the case since last year.
The trial has everything but media coverage. The cult had ties to hillary, Kirsten Gillibrand, and a host of NY politicians. Raniere started with a multi-level marketing scam back in Arkansas when Bill was governor and, when caught, bought himself a sweetheart deal. Around 1998 he moved to upstate NY, where he got another sweetheart deal from then-state attorney general Elliot Spitzer.
And yes. Raniere kept his slaves on very low-cal diets to keep them skinny and compliant. Did they do it willingly? Arguably.
There’s a reason only the inner circle got charged.

Do not forget that Senator Sex Cult, current Presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand, is closely tied to this group in many ways. The media will be working hard to keep this out of the headlines, but anyone from Albany knows that she is a big part of that story.

Pity the media is only covering the Oxenbergs and Allison Mack since they’re “stars”.
Oxenberg was trying to get her daughter out of the cult, but her daughter had already provided “collateral” to Mack and Raniere and was being blackmailed to stay.
The good news is she did get out. And I’m sure the investigators have talked to her.

If you have info on the Gillibrand involvement, I'd love to hear about it. FReepmail is fine. All I know is that her new step-mother who was her father's cousin got in first, then daddy got involved and worked for about four months as a consultant. Kirsten was sitting at the NXIVM tables at a hillary for senate fundraiser and knew the people there.
What I'm curious about is whether Kirsten simply was associated through Clare and Sara Bronfman because they were rich, or whether she had any real involvement in NXIVM.
Chloe was a favorite of mine - until the last two seasons. Her character did not just become darker, her acting became detached. I could not buy that she loved Oliver. Her truncated role in the final season was due to her choosing her cult over her career.
