Someone correct me if I’m wrong but it sounds like all these “slaves” were adults and willingly gave themselves up to this cult.
I didn’t hear anyone was abducted or threatened with violence to do anything.
Yes the cult leaders used psychological techniques to exploit people but so do marketers, salesmen and casinos
