Based on comments from around the school, this wording of ‘minutes’ after the vote for the school maintenance crew to show up and remove the pretentious guy’s name was absolutely true. There might be more to the whole story, but he rubbed the trustees in the wrong way.
Wealthy decadent lowlifes try to validate their miserable existence by donating money to places that are willing to patronize them. Imagine the absurdity of naming a law school after this character.
The university should have waited until the end of the year to return the money. It would have messed up this guy’s charitable donations and associated tax consequences without the ability to timely rebalance before year end.
My new home/state certainly has balls.
This country was built by hicks and deplorable who worked with their hands and many gave their lives for others. How can you honestly make millions of dollars on real estate?

Stuff’s getting serious when universities begin rejecting multi-million dollar donations because of the political viewpoint of the donor. I happen to agree with this one. Culverhouse sounds like a horses-@ss. Especially that crack about the good people of Alabama.
Preventing the killing of American babies is something “backward hicks” do but using taxpayer money to pay government employees to change the diapers of the babies of illegal alien invaders at the border is “humanitarian”? That’s kind of weird.
The man is a scumbag. All he did was be born to wealthy parents. He is not worthy of having the law school or anything named after him.
