A 22-year old female University of Utah student reported her business professor to campus administrators for, among other things, assigning too many historical texts written by influential male economists of the past.
“I understand the importance of studying the work of those before us and the importance of context,” wrote the student in a complaint to the university’s bias reporting system, where she labeled the professor’s transgressions “derogatory,” “degrading,” and “intimidating,” thereby causing a “hostile learning environment.”
The report also accused the professor of frequent sexist language, but the bulk of the complaint centered on his assigned readings for the business course.

The list of famous 19th century female economists is not long.
Try claiming a “hostile working environment” if you are a white guy unhappy with gay pride posters put up in the break room. It doesn’t work, and can have a very undesirable outcome. We have to stand up to the left.

The solution IMO is clear as a bell: include Atlas Shrugged as required reading. Though a novelist, Rand does a great job of describing the effects of government intrusion into our economy, step by step.

Empirically it turns out that guys usually dominate in conventional business — it’s because of the numbers.
Women’s business should not be ignored, but it should be a specialty study. How have these gals managed to buck the numerical odds? Because of their special role in family support, women do better in an entrepreneurial model, one that is documented as far back as the bible itself.
And Rand herself was, of course, a gal....

The “22 year old female” ssounds like a real delight to be around.
She’ll be a bitter cat lady by the time she’s 30.
Well, it’s good that this idiotess didn’t try to major in math, physics, chemistry, electrical engineering....and on and on.
But, given her demonstrated weakness of mind, she wouldn’t have had any chance in those areas anyway.
No insult meant to intelligent women. My spouse is a chemist/operations research/comp sci doctorate. And she regards these idiot females as an insult to both the sex and humanity.

Before we went to the field for a couple of months everyone in my unit used to visit the female entreprenuers in the small business enterprise zone next to the Haupt Bahnhof in Frankfurt back in the ‘80s.
She will do well in the business world. Whenever she has a tough negotiation with a man, she can complain about a “hostile environment.” It won’t work but will sound good in her EEOC complaint.
And those that contributed lasting scholarship is nonexistent.
Of course it isn’t for a reason- there aren’t many. I will bet you $$ this was a stunt by this “student” because she didn’t pass the class and wanted to take attention away from that.
