Today’s Cryptogram

VSR XBDK YSI AZDKM ISMBV RYIZA VSR XBDK MSYK JSQKIXZYP WSG JSQKSYK FXS TBY YKDKG GKOBV VSR.---CSXY LRYVBY

Today’s CG is courtesy of the Arkansas Gazette.

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: brain; cryptogram; puzzle; todayscryptogram
If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under 2 "you're a pro!"

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

Solution to our last puzzle:

5 min. My trick with the E didn’t work.
And I didn’t see that last word...if I’d noticed it was the same as the first word sooner, it would’ve made things easier.

Got the repeating 3 letter word, surmised the 6th word....saw the ABCBD word late... Easier than it looked at first glance.

ABCBD has come up more than a couple times these past few days. Here are two more to look for: ABCDC as in “there” and ABCADB as in “people”

I missed yesterday's ping (sorry), so I didn't get to play before seeing the answer.

One minute. I recognized the "YKDKG" pattern from the other day, and the rest flowed from there.

I don’t agree. Our 1 year old cat LOVES to chase scorpions and terrorize them until they give up the ghost. She is a great asset to our home!
